Ian McCulloch (Greg Preston) Lets get the nasty stuff out of the way first! He's probably best known since Survivors for his Italian zombie movies: Dr. Butcher, M.D(l979), Zombie(l979),
The Ghoul(l975), Alien Contamination(l981), and Witching Time(l985). His slightly more respectable credits include, Cromwell playing John Hampden (virtually a non-speaking role, but if you purchase the video tape, there he is on the back cover!), Bergerac(Offshore Trades), and Doctor Who(Warriors of the Deep), playing Nilson, He's also appeared in Taggart(Hostile Witness)Hercule Poirot(Mystery at Marsden Manor)
, Tales of Para Handy and is rumoured to have been spotted in a recent British hospital drama - Children's Ward. Terry Nation The creator of the show died recently after a prolific career in which he created numerous cult-tv classics such as Dr Who, Blake's 7 and The Saint. He was
perhaps one of the greatest of British screen-writers. He came up with the idea for the series after having spent a long time wondering about life in a post-apocalyptic world. He was so intrigued with this concept that he even made his family become self-supporting for 9 months! He was only involved with the first series, after which he handed control over to Terence Dudley. Apparently he was not at all pleased with the direction the show took
- his book of the series shows marked differences in later storylines. He thought that Terence Dudley had turned it into a sort of country soap-opera! Carolyn Seymour (Abby Grant) Carolyn Seymour left Britain and
went to the States. She has been in numerous television shows, and has maintained her science fiction connections by becoming a semi-regular on Star Trek. She has played three separate characters on the show, two of them were Romulan commanders and the other was a Malcorian scientist. She also auditioned for the part of Captain Janeway on Voyager, but unfortunately she was turned down for a younger woman with an irritating
voice and a Katherine-Hepburn-wannabee complex. However, she did appear as a different character in the show - Mrs Templeton - an evil holographic character in Capt. Janeway's HoloNovel. The episodes she appears in are Cathexis and Persistance of Vision Thanks to Tracie Lewis for the details. She recently appeared in Babylon 5, as one of the goodies on earth. Other TV roles have included a spot on Space:1999, Magnum P.I., Hart to Hart, Murder She Wrote, LA Law, Cagney and Lacey, and the baddy hologram Zoe on Quantum Leap. She has starred in a number of films, including:
Destination Unknown, Zorro the Gay Blade, and Mister Mom. Christopher Tranchell (Paul Pitman) Chris now lives in Shepherds Bush with his missus, does a
bit of stage work around the UK, and watches QPR on the weekends. (Thanks to Shannon for the info.) Page 1 Page 2 | |
