F.B.I. Case File #122018-77SPN Sideshow Bob
NAME: Robert Underdunk Terwilliger.
ALIAS: Sideshow Bob.
DAY JOB: Children's Entertainer, prison inmate, construction chief
for the Springfield Dam project.
NIGHT JOB: Politician, killer, evil supervillain.
PREVIOUS OFFENSES: Attempted murder (Bart and Selma); framing Krusty
for armed robbery; election fraud; holding TV ransom with an
old atomic bomb.
PARTNERS IN CRIME:
- Birch Barlow- A political commentator, and ultra-conservative
who has a radio show in Springfield, and helped Bob get released
from Prison in "Sideshow Bob Roberts"
- Cecil- Bob's younger brother was jealous when Bob accidentally
got his dream job--the part of the sidekick on the Krusty the Clown
show. He caused serious trouble for Bob, and Springfield itself
in one episode.
ARCHENEMIES:
- Bart Simpson- Bart has stopped one after another of Bob's evil
plots.
- Lisa Simpson- Lisa often helps Bart defeat Sideshow Bob, and
may even be more instrumental in some of his defeats than Bart.
But as Tewilleger himself puts it, "...and Lisa, to whom I'm fairly
indifferent."
- Krusty the Klown- Krusty abused Bob for years on his TV show, and Bob
thinks of him as an uncultured, annoying slob.
- Rakes- According to Bob himself, rakes are his oldest archenemy.
KNOWN HIDEOUTS: Springfield Penetentiary (both maximum and minimum
security), the Duff Blimp, City Hall.
Sideshow Bob's woes began when he decided that he was fed up with being
mistreated by Krusty the Clown (he also didn't care for Krusty's boorish
manners). He framed Krusty for a Kwik-E-Mart robbery,
but Bart and Lisa Simpson proved that Krusty was innocent. Ever since
Bob has held a grudge against Bart. He attempted to kill him on
at least one occassion, and he has caused numerous other problems.
He attempted to kill Selma, take over Springfields television sets,
and became Mayor of Springfield for a few days. He turned over a new leaf
when his brother Cecil helped him find an honest job, but Cecil's
plotting landed both brothers in jail. After getting out of prison yet again,
Sideshow Bob attempted to hypnotize Bart Simpson into killing Krusty, but his
plot failed when he learned that Krusty really respected him.
Recently Bob was released for a short period of time to help identify someone
who was trying to kill Homer Simpson. It turned out that the would-be killer
was Hank Grimes, son of Frank "Grimey" Grimes. Sideshow Bob also came within
an inch of killing Bart Simpson but found he couldn't do it.
APPEARANCES: Bob appears once every couple of seasons to stir up trouble.
He has also made many cameo appearances, and he appears regularly in Simpson
comics.
