RJ Gannon October, 1998 Updates

Little things that make me FURIOUS...

Ooooh, I am furious about today's show -- October 8th, 1998. I waited since Monday, October 5th, for this? Monday's show ends with RJ and Dorian showing up at the Rev's doorstep to ask him to help them. Today the scene opens with Mel showing up already to play superman and to hide them out. Did we get to see Andrew's reaction or response when they showed up asking for help? HELL NO!!!!! And RJ was on all of what, 2 minutes and 5 seconds? What was that today anyway? I can't believe that PTB, oh yeah, maybe I should, they kept me hanging wondering what would happen for this? The way I see it, it will be another week or so before RJ is seen again...
There was one short bright moment where the PTB actually remembered to have Hank show up to see his best friend, Bo; mention Rachel to Nora and to indirectly ask the Reverend about his brother. And just before RJ took off he left a letter for his brother. Unfortunately I would have preferred seeing RJ and Hank in a scene, like Dorian was granted with her Cassie. Well with these IIC, am I supposed to be grateful that they even remembered that RJ and Hank are brothers?

October 8, 1998
I spent 3 days waiting for 2 minutes and 5 seconds of RJ, and probably even less time for Hank. Mel shows up at the Rev's with a plan to get Dorian and RJ out of town; RJ doesn't trust either Mel nor Dorian. (Gee can you blame him?) And then next thing you know they have to hurry because Sykes gets a tip that Dorian and RJ are at the Rev's.
Little Things that make me go hmmm...
I just enjoyed all of today's scenes with RJ and Dorian; there may have been a little too much Mel for me. I preferred to see more of RJ and Dorian trying to figure out what their next move is. RJ has been trying to get Dorian to tell the truth and now she has made it easy for Graham to frame both of them. Dorian and RJ are such a treat to watch. I am not sure that I like that they went to the Rev's house; I hope that doesn't mean we won't see them much and that this will give TIIC to not show them at all because we know they are in hiding. The chemistry between Dorian and RJ is fantastic; the pairing of these two has been so much fun to watch. I am anxious to see how this plays out. I hope PTB do these two some justice.
October 5, 1998 Update
The scene opens with Mel, Kevin, Kelly, up in Munk's face with RJ in the background. Mel doesn't believe Munk as Munk is telling that it was Dorian who bought the gun that killed Drew. They all look at RJ as RJ responds: "Hey now don't start eyeballing me. This is a set up pure and simple."
Munk is telling Mel that Dorian had some business to settle with someone. Mel and Kevin are going back and forth with Munk when Kevin stops to ask RJ if he knew about Dorian and the gun.
RJ: "Look if Dorian put her hands on a gun I never saw it and I don't know where she got it."
Meanwhile Munk pulls aways and runs in front of a car and gets hit. While Kevin, Mel and Kelly run to the scene RJ sneaks away.
Dorian is at the Gallery with Babs; from what I can gather (since I didn't see last weeks) Dorian tricked Babs into coming to the Gallery thinking she was going to meet Kevin. RJ walk in in the middle of their conversation:
Dorian: "....I had nothing to do with what happened to Drew Buchanan or what happened to my daughter."
RJ: "That's not the way I heard it. I thought I would find you here...hiding."
Dorian: "Hardly. I own this gallery why shouldn't I be here."
As Dorian tries to walk past RJ: "No. No you're not going anywhere."
At this point Babs takes the opportunity to skip out and Dorian screams at RJ: "RJ, have you got any idea of what you just messed up?"
RJ: "No. No I guess all that time I spent in lock up has stopped me from caring."
Dorian: "Get out of my way."
RJ: "No."
Dorian: "What? are you holding me against my will?"
RJ: "do the words 'you set me up' ring a bell? Because that's what you've done to me and you're going to tell me why."
Dorian: "This is outrageous; it's preposterous!"
RJ: "I take it that's a denial?"
Dorian: "I have never so much as met a man name Munk, let alone purchase a gun from him. The man's lying."
RJ: "Lying in a morgue as a matter of fact."
Dorian: "He's dead?"
RJ: "Hit by a car. I guess he should have looked both ways. But before he became roadkill he said just enough to make me believe you were looking for a fall guy from the start."
Dorian: "the start? of what? My supposed conspiracy to see Kevin Buchanan murdered?"
RJ: "Hmmm, the argument has been made."
Dorian: "Badly, and with contrived evidence. Don't you see? Look at what's happened...we have both been set up."
RJ: "Really? by whom?"
Dorian: "Congressman Graham. He's, he's obviously gotten to this Munk...he somehow persuaded him to point the accusing finger at me."
RJ: "Graham."
Dorian: "Yes because I wouldn't play along with him. HE's running for senate; he tried to use me to wrangle an endorsement from Mel."
RJ: "Politicians."
Dorian: "Yea, when I told him to shove it he told me I'd live to regret it."
RJ: "and here we are...any regrets?"
Dorian: "No. I have my prinicples, too."
Just then Mel rushes in: "Dorian." as he hugs her.
Dorian: "Ok, what are we going to do?"
Mel: "You know about Munk?"
Dorian: "Yes, yes. You don't believe it do you?"
Mel: "No, not a word."
Dorian: "So it's Graham?"
Mel: "Well, what do you think?"
Dorian: "I think I'm about to be arrested by the police just like Graham threatened."
Mel: "There's no way I'm going to let them nail you for something you didn't do."
Dorian: "Honey, Graham practically owns the police."
Mel: "Well, he doesn't own me and I'm going to straighten this all out."
Dorian: "Yeah, alright while you are doing that I think I...we had better get away. I mean out of town, this instant."
Mel: "No running away will only make you look guilty."
Dorian: "Mel, I don't care, too many fingers are already point at me."
RJ: "And me, thanks to you."
At that time they hear cars pulling up outside of the gallery.
Dorian to Mel: "Please, they're never going to believe me."
RJ runs to the window: "It's the cops."
Dorian: "Mel, please, please you got to help me; we've got no other choice."
Mel: "You said we had no other choice when you asked me to endorse Graham for the senate; you stood up to him, we both did; we're going to do that now."
RJ: "Hey, hey ok, they're coming now."
Dorian to Mel: "Listen to me, I was on death row once before; if I have to go back there again, I promise you I'm not going to survive. Please, don't make me go through that, you got to help me, I'm begging you."
Dorian and RJ make their get away just before Sykes and West approach Mel at the gallery; as they show up at the Rev's place RJ is saying: "Are you kidding me? This is crazy."
Dorian: "Crazier than doing nothing?"
RJ: "Here?! Well I would rather take my chances with Sykes."
Dorian as she starts knocking on the door: "Look, nobody dragged you here by the hair to get you here; if you got a better idea find your own safe haven."
RJ: "Let you take off and leave me holding the bag?"
Dorian: "Bag? What bag? We're both being framed. How many times do I have to keep telling you that?"
RJ: "Until I believe you."
Dorian as she continues to knock on the door: "Oh ye of little faith. Come on, where are you?"
The Rev. answers the door: "Dorian. RJ. Whats...what's the problem? Is Cassie alright?"
Dorian walks past the Rev. with RJ behind her: "Cassie is just fine; but you got let us in and Andrew...you got to hide us. It's a matter of life and death."
The scene ends with Andrew just kind of gaping at Dorian.
I think this is at Club Indigo where poor RJ has to listen to Max throw himself a pity party -- these IIC are they really that inept in writing for someone as talented as TDS? Here RJ is being falsely accused of a murder he didn't commit and all that RJ has to worry about is Max? Oh PUHLEASE!!!

Get a clue IIC -- we want TDS in his own story not some SPT.

Somewhere in this story RJ called Blair to come take care of the whiner; but then RJ made a quick exit. He then magically appeared when Max tried to strong arm Blair; she was hollering NO; RJ walked in to let Max know that Blair said "NO".
