I'm employed at EG&G ORTEC as a software engineer. What that really means is I write Windows based software to control and monitor the specialized hardware my company manufactures to measure levels of radioactivity. These systems are used to monitor radiation in people (used by hospitals and power plants) and the environment both to ensure that contamination is minimal and to verify that a contaminated site has been cleared.
I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Tennesssee and several (don't ask) years of experience programming. On Mini and Personal computers. The last 5 years I have been with ORTEC.
