From left to right: My sister Joan, my daughter Lisa and son-in-law Tom, me (Cricket)
I have two daughter's. The eldest is Lisa, she is 34 years old, married, and has a Son named Tommy, ( aka The Tominator ), who was 5 years old in August. He enjoyed seeing his brand new baby Cousin, R.J., and playing with his other Cousin, Cecilia. We tried Cecilia's Dobok (TKD uniform)on him, and he looked adorable. I will try to get that posted here. He only lasted a few lessons, but we were able to teach him what to do if the "bad man" ever grabbed him. His response was just as cute, "yell for Miss Patterson!" She was his Teacher. We'll try again next year, and see if his attention span has improved. Tom is a Tom Cruise look alike (especially with shades on).
My youngest daughter is Maria, she is 31 years old, re-married, and has a Daughter named Cecilia, who was 9 years old in September. Maria also has a son Robert John who is 18 months old. He looks just like my father. I will post his baby picture here asap. She started taking Tae Kwan Do Plus two years ago. In August she earned her 1st degree Black Belt. In February she will be tested for her 2nd degree belt. After seeing what she has learned I also started studing Tae Kwan Do. Our goal after she graduates from College is to open our own Dojang. TKD with the womans touch. She will teach the children and I will work with the seniors. I am a Yellow Belt, and was in my 1st. Tournament (brought home a Silver medal for Pattern's, and have broken many boards. My new Sabonim Kim is a 5th degree black belt. I don't get to see them as often as I'd like to because they live in Georgia. I reside in the State of Pa. I go down South every Christmas and spend the Holidays with them. My older Sister who has three German Shepherd Show Dogs. Cecilia would like to be a Vet- a-air- e- on when she is grown. When she is 10 years old we are planning to make a Junior Handler out of her. She works with all of the dogs now, and makes sure they mind her.
My love for horses is also shared by my daughters. We have gone riding many times together. I have to admit I have been spoiled by the Peruvian Paso Breed. If I can't ride one of them I would rather not ride at all. They are very rare, and the smoothest horses I have ever ridden. At the shows the rider's have a glass of Champagne in their hands as they ride around the ring in gait. They don't spill a drop. At the end of the class the rider with the most in their glass wins the class. I have seen them challenged by Plantation Horses, and Tennasee Walkers, and it was no contest. The lady of the Tenn. Walker bought a Peruvian that day she was really impressed. I have also started my Grand-Children riding. They seem to love it as much as we do. It is in their blood.
I also enjoy Deep Sea Fishing. My late Father,. and I use to go out on the party, or head boats. He would love to jiggle my rod which was under my arm, and I thought I had a bite. I would reel in my prize only to see my bait still there. I thought I has lost all those fish. Dad would be laughing, he loved to tease people. I finally got wise to him. This past Summer I went out on a head boat and the Mate did the exact same thing. It was just like old times. I shared this trip with my former Teacher who had never been deep sea before, and she thoroughly enjoyed herself. I think she prefer's Blue fishing for the action. They really kick butt. She was shocked at the fight she had on her hands. She's a 3rd. Degree Black Belt.
The one, and only Soap I watch on a daily basis is AMC. I have only been watching it since Noah and Julia got married. I tape it during the day, and watch it at Lunch, or after work. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are two of my favorite Actors on the show. I had the pleasure of meeting Mark Consuelos at the Grand opening of Sears in King of Prussia Mall about a year and a half ago. A day I will never forget.
