Fishing - Little Torch Key

We did some fishing on both of our trips to Little Torch Key. The first time around, we all went. Some of us liked it, some of us didn't! So the next year the men fished by themselves, and had better luck than the first year.

The first year our catch was small. My niece tried her hand with the fishing rod but my step-daughters decided they weren't too impressed with the sport or the catch!

  

  

Of course, some of the fish we caught weren't fish at all!!

The second year, the men had much better luck and brought home a few large fish for dinner. See how proud the two fisherman were?

  

The kids decided to get into the act after the fishing trip was over and they helped feed the local birds while their dads were cleaning the fish.

The cottage we rented at Dolphin Marina was on the canal so we could dock the boat and clean the fish right outside our door. Then we could cook them up on the grill which was provided and have dinner inside or outside, whichever we liked. There was a nice porch overlooking the canal and a spacious kitchen/dining area inside, so we had lots of room for two families.
