Below the lighthouse the swell
from the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean meet, violently crashing against each other
creating white haystack-like lumps called blind rollers. The sea was relatively calm when
we visited the Cape, there were no whitecaps, and still the swell collided. This must be
an awsome sight during a storm! |

Vancouver is 8299 kilometers
away as the seagull flies. We sailed over 15,000 nautical miles to get here! |

The dunes at Te Paki Stream are
immense. Two dune surfers start thier climb up to the top. Paula is eyeing the Te Paki
stream before jumping across. |

A piece of exposed driftwood in
the sand resembles some prehistoric monster. |
