Two weeks ago (8/18), I climbed Mt. Fuji with my friends. It was very fun, although I caught a cold when I returned back to Hiroshima. I used 18-kippu, a special ticket only in summer to ride on all JR trains, and it was very tiring!

I just bleached my hair today! Actually, I wanted to make it like Nakata's hair, but it would be strange for me. It is not so different from my previous hair color. My hair color is now a bit brown!

I was invited to introduce Indonesia and my personal opinion about Japan together with 2 other foreign students from China and Sudan at a workshop for elementary and high school teachers last Tuesday (8/7). It was nice experience for me. I told everyone that generally, Japanese people are shy. It is important for foreigners to actively make the first approach to open conversation.

August 5th, 2001

Yesterday, Saturday (8/4), I went to Onomichi to see Fireworks Festival (Hanabi Taikai in Japanese) with AIESEC friends. It took about 3 hours from campus to Onomichi by car. I had a very wonderful time there, since it was my first time to see such a big fireworks! Moreover, all AIESEC members are very kind to me. After coming back to campus, we went to Karaoke and sang many Japanese songs until morning!
