From the King David Museum, we were able to climb to the top of the ramparts that surround the city. We bought our tickets and entered just as they were closing for the evening. Once on, the only way off was at the other end. I mention this only because yours truly has a fear of heights that was activated by this walk. It somewhat quelled my desire to walk around Masada later in our trip. But more on that later.
