There have been

night owls visit the dark.

After a busy day around town we sleep like babies at night, well actually like toddlers. Sometimes, especially in the winter when it gets dark so early, we get to continue our fun on into the night.



	Wrightsville Beach is fun at night too. This is probably hard to see, but these are baby loggerhead turtles making their way to the ocean. Their were 8 nests on the island last year I believe. This one had hatched out on its own 3 days earlier. After 3 days the turtle rescue folks come out and dig up the nest to free the remaining turtles and to count the eggs. They do this just after sunset. And they dig a trench from the nest to the water so their are no obstacles for the little guys to get stuck in.
This is a local marina at night. Again at Wrightsville Beach. Walking among the boats in the evening is a very special feeling. If this pic cant be seen well drop me a line and I will go down their and get another pic.
			This is the end result of a long day at the NCSU Wolfpack football game. It started out a cool pretty day, but it got cold and wet. Too much for poor Savannah.
Ooohhhh I am so sleepy. Can someone help me find the bed?
		Another long day winds down. The dirt piles have been climbed, the beach has been explored, the river was fun. Now its time to visit with our friend the Sandman. Mommie, daddy ... I love you.

You should see Wilmington at night during the christmas season. Many people go all out with decorating their homes (daddy likes alot of lights too, we love our christmas lights). Less than a mile away is a neighborhood that really does it up, there is one street where every house on the block puts up thousands of lights. Cars line up to admire the grand display.
