Northern Territory Photo Page

Happy Birthday to Me! They tie balloons to your hand in Northern Territory when its your birthday.

Me with selected members of the Korean Navy who helped me celebrate my 25th birthday in the Vic nightclub in Darwin - they were on shore leave from UN duties in East Timor.

The Devils Marbles - some strange rock formations outside Tennant Creek, Northern Territory.

Its just me and the Marbles in the quintessential dumb tourist photo.

The desert has never looked so green!

Me and Ted make it to Alice and those friendly folks at the tourist office put a whacking great sign out to make sure we knew about it.

Here's Pete looking like a true Ozzie outbacker on our little walk around Kings Canyon, NT. In reality the colours of the landscape were much better than this photo.

Ayres Rock from a distance of 30kms and it still looks impressive. Myself and Pete felt like we should do something momentous.

Kata Tjuta or The Olgas are the less well known sister formations to Ayres Rock/Uluru. Its thought they all might once have been part of a gigantic monolith which split. Quite a feat when you consider they are 40kms apart!!

Here we're less than 0.5 miles from the base. Spot Paula standing on the extreme bottom left of the photo for a sense of scale.
