ISLAND OF DREAMS
written by Stacie Lee Callei

A place very beautiful and very desirable,
Were everything about you is admirable.
Nothing fake, what you see is what you get,
All good, honest, and loving if you let.
No one will cause you undeserved pain,
Nothing but love and caring will be your gain.
The one and only rule to use,
A good friend never to abuse.
Walk in the soft sand in the warmest sun,
Smile and laugh that wonderful way in fun.
Hold my hand and feel the greatest kiss.
My total honest and love you'll never miss.
Listen to every wave as it sweetly licks the shore,
A feeling I guarantee never felt before.
Look deep into the blue that surrounds you,
And breathe in deeply the sweet smell so true.
A place with no pressure or stress,
The sweet wind will blow its soft caress.
You'll never be alone I swear,
It'll absorb all you can't bare.
Dreams of all that is good and right,
No more obstacles to ever fight.
A little bit of peace and love so true,
A love to kiss you so deeply, just because your you,
Always and Forever!

Footprints In The Sand
This is the originalversion written during the winter of 1936 by
Mary Stevenson
(11/08/22 - 01/06/99)
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Other times there were one set of footprints. This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life. When I was suffering from anguish, sorrow, or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints.
So I said to the Lord, "You promised me, Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I noticed that during the most trying periods of my life, there have only been one set of prints in the sand. Why, When I have needed you most, you have not been there for me?"
The Lord replied, "The times when you have seen only one set of footprints is when I carried you."

Footprints
(author unknown)
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it. "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed you most, you would leave me."
The LORD replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you during your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

One summer many years ago, I came across three postcards of which the following three poems came from. I have no idea
who wrote them, but I would like to share them with
you......
The Legend Of The
SEA STAR
Brilliant stars of the heavens
were placed into the sea
When God blessed ocean creatures
with their own astrology.
As we gaze into the waters
His wondrous plans unfold
The STARFISH sings his song of praise
while spun in noble gold.
The Lord created sea creatures
and waters wherein they swim
Man and fish, on earth and in seas
owes their very lives to Him.

The Legend Of The
SAND DOLLAR
There's a pretty little legendThat I would like
to tell
Of the birth and death of Jesus
Found in this
lowly shell.
If you examine closely,
You'll see that
you find here
Four nail holes and a fifth one
Made by a Roman's spear.
On one side the Easter Lily,
Its
center is the star
That appeared unto the shepards
And
led them from afar.
The Christmas poinsettia
Etched
on the other side
Reminds us of His birthday,
Our
Happy Christmastide.
Now break the center open
And
here you will release
The five white doves awaiting
To
spread Good Will and Peace.
This single little
symbol,
Christ left for you and me
To help us spread
His Gospel
Through all eternity.

The Legend Of The
SAND DOLLAR
Upon this odd shaped sea shella legend grand is
told
About the life of Jesus
the wondrous tale of
old
The center marking plainly shows
the well known
Guiding Star
That led to tiny Bethlehem
the Wise Men
from afar
The Christmas flower, Poinsettia
for His
Nativity
The Resurrection too is marked
the Easter
Lily, see
Within the shell, should it be broke
five
Doves of Peace are found
To emphasize this legend
so
may Peace and Love abound.

OLD IRONSIDES

Ay, tear her tattered ensign down!
Long has it waved on high,
And many an eye has danced to see
That banner in the sky;
Beneath it rung the battle shout,
And burst the cannon's roar;--
The meteor of the ocean air
Shall sweep the clouds no more.
Her deck, once red with heroes' blood,
Where knelt the vanquished foe,
When winds were hurrying o'er the flood,
And waves were white below,
No more shall feel the victor's tread,
Or know the conquered knee;--
The harpies of the shore shall pluck
The eagle of the sea!
Oh, better that her shattered hulk
Should sink beneath the wave;
Her thunders shook the mighty deep,
And there should be her grave;
Nail to the mast her holy flag,
Set every thread bare sail,
And give her to the god of storms,
The lightning and the gale!

THE MIST ON THE RIVER
Written by ,Al Albrecht
When the mist is on the river,
And the break of day is near.
The birds are just beginning to sing,
And the stars have disappeared.
When dewdrops shimmer like diamonds,
Upon a blade of grass.
And the wind is softly blowing.
And the moon is sinking fast.
When wild geese are flying overhead,
Taking turns with their honks.
The mourning dove, with its lonesome call.
Is cooing a mournful song.
There's time of deep reflection.
Which should bring peace to the soul.
As we touch, see and listen
To what God has made you know.
Thanks be to our living God,
Who made this all for me.
To enjoy the mist upon the river.
And everything I hear and see.
