From the first modified Morris to the present day, MG has always had a sporting presence and with MGA, MGB, MG Midget and  MG V8 well represented in this race series, it is no surprise that they are far and away the most common car in the sports/GT section.  The series is run under the auspices of the Auckland branch of the MGCC and when our series first started, we received considerable support from the Wellington branch.  When we had a full series sponsor - Leisuretime's Geoff Bonham, Wellington bowed out, secure in the knowledge that they had been involved in something pretty good.

When we run our own race meetings, the MGCC is extremely supportive, with assistance at event documention, dummy grid marshals, gate takings etc.
