Subject: The Window Opens
We have been given the go-ahead from Herb Hilgenberg, a weather expert
who specializes in providing weather information to boaters in the North
Atlantic, that Wednesday (11/17) is the beginning of a good weather window
for leaving for Bermuda. We intend to take advantage of the good
weather and leave in the afternoon.
We will be leaving behind many of the facilities that we take for granted
here in the U.S., including cheap or easy access to mail, telephone, and
internet. Consequently, we need to request some changes in the way
people communicate with us.
* Please DO continue to e-mail us, send personal cards and letters,
and leave voice messages on our voice mailbox, but be aware that our responses
may be a lot slower than in the past.
* Please do NOT send any parcels to our mail service without checking
with us first.
* Please do NOT forward "generally circulated" internet mail, including
jokes, inspirational stories, virus alerts, and the like.
We intend to continue with the CruiseNews updates, but we will only
be able to send them as Internet access is available.
Smooth sailing,
Jim and Cathy
