Pad area
The wire finally arrived and, with a bit of difficulty,
was pulled through the conduit connecting the pole
to this fiberglass pad. A transformer gets
mounted on the pad and the meter goes on the post.		 trench
One line carries 100 amps to the garage and
this trench heads toward the house with a
200 amp line, 6 phone lines, and this
plastic coated tubing for propane .
Picking up the transformer
On 16 July, NYSEG arrived and picked up
the 7800/220V pad-mounted transformer
that will sit near the house and ...		 setting the transformer
... placed it on the pad.
Setting the stepup transformer
Meanwhile, two trucks were used to put
the stepup transformer on the pole near the
existing house. This transformer changes the
4200V three phase on the pole to 7800 single
phase and sends it up the trench to the pad.		 setting the meter
They returned on 20 July and set the meter.
