Innsbruck was the site of the winter Olympics in 1964 and 1976 . The city is old and friendly and viewed in the summer, it has a different kind of charm.
The buildings, themselves, are works of art. As you can see, they are kept in wonderful condition and are most beautiful.
You don't get hungry in this town. The meats and sausages give off an aroma that makes ones mouth water just walking the streets. A brief stop at one of these shops and you can come away with a sandwich that will satisfy most any appetite.
The churches throughout the area are magnificent. One can take hours and hours just exploring the art work and the architecture of the churches and cathedrals in the cities and towns.
