System Requirments
Official Requirements : Pentium 100, 16MB RAM, 4x CD Rom, 28.8k modem.
Comments : Yeah right. A P100 can hardly run Windows 95, let alone any FIFA game 2 versions back. 16 MB?!? Please! It's odd that EA still thinks they can impress us with such low reqs. Do 4x CDs still exist?! If they do, they probablt consist of 90% dust!
My opinion Requirements : Pentium 166, 32 RAM, 16x CD, 28.8 k modem.
Comments : The mmx is not used so i guess the next CPU step is not worth it. A 166Mhz will cut it, but I don't see any fun in playing it on the 166. 32MB is the minimal amount of memeory to run Win95, so i guess it is the most realistic amount of memory for this game. Although speed is not much of a factor in CDs, due to various bottlenecks, the 16x is probably the slowest CD that will be able to handle the game. CDs are not vacuumed, so they pick up alot of dust. Anything less than a 16x is probably faulty.
Official Recommended : Pentium 166mmx, 32MB RAM, 8x CD, 56k modem, 3Dfx.
Comments : Notice that this system is on par with what i described as "minimal". I guess EA is just looking for more sales. Come on! I harldy ran FIFA 98 on a system like this! The only thing i can relate to is the 3Dfx card. If you don't have one, get one NOW!
My opinion recommended : PII processor, 64 MB , 16x CD, 56k Modem.
Comments : The PII can be dropped if you have a P200mmx with 3Dfx. PIIs have AGP. Most AGP cards have very good Direct3D support, reaching around 60% of the quality and speed of Glide (3Dfx). 64MB RAM. A must for every Win95 user. The 16x is still good enough. Don't need anything more.
