Lightning Gammon Tournament Rules

Five minutes before each tournament, Lightning Gammon Hosts run rules. With the exception of the 12-Step Team Tournament, Lightning Gammon Tournaments are run based on the following rules.
  1. This is a single point, single elimination tournament. Lose ONE match and you are OUT.

  2. Assignments and all other official statements will be typed by the HOST and/or COHOST. At the hosts discretion LG tourneys are limited to 64 players maximum

  3. All assigned players must be seated 5 minutes before start time. Anyone not seated after the rules are finished will be replaced.

  4. Each match (except FINALS) is for 1 point. Doubling & gammons DO NOT COUNT. If your opponent offers you a double, just ACCEPT AND CONTINUE your game. Do not refuse, as we cannot restore your match for you.

  5. Winner of each match should report their win as follows********* Winner's Name /Loser's Name @table # ******. Please use the asterisks so the HOST can see your post easily. TY

  6. Anyone gone for 7 minutes or gone 3 times in one game will forfeit their match and therefore be out of the tournament. Please report missing players to the COHOST or HOST if there is no cohost.

  7. If your opponent has booted, remain at your table. When/If a player returns to a game that was in progress, the game MUST be RESTORED or the player at control (left chair) will FORFEIT the game.

  8. You may watch any match in progress, but we ask that you don't talk or distract the players in that match. Kibitzers can be silenced if either player wishes. Kibitzing MUST be left on so that we may view your match. We appreciate it, really!

  9. In the FINAL match only, first place goes to winner of 2 out of 3 individual 1 pt games. Doubling & gammons do NOT count, so please don't double. Set match for 1 point!

  10. If you have any problems or questions, you should address them to the COHOST or report to the HOST if there is no cohost. Your hosting team is always out here while you are playing.

  11. Patience is a virtue :) Sometimes other matches have to finish before you can receive your next assignment. Please have patience with the HOSTS as they do with you. Thanks!

  12. * For the first round only* DO NOT begin play until the HOST says START. We must have all players seated and ready to go before you can begin.

  13. Lightning Gammon does NOT allow playing in 2 games of any kind at once. So please don't, or you WILL be DISQUALIFIED! Thank You!

  14. Lightning Gammon does allow tokenized nics (+) to play in tourney.

  15. All decisions made by the host during the course of the tournament are final, and need to be respected by the players in order to avoid disqualification from that tournament, and/or future tournaments held by that host. This includes, but is not limited to: uncooperative players, zone glitches, and violations of the COC.
