The Laredo Chess Club holds its weekly activity meeting from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Quiet Room of the Lamar Bruni Vergara Tec Rec Center. The public is invited. Participants should bring their own chess equipment. Visit the meetings page for details.

2009 Christen Middle School Chess Tournament

L.J. Christen Middle School and the Laredo Chess Club will be co-sponsoring an open chess tourney for all students K-12. There will be both a rated and a non-rated section to accommodate advanced players and beginners alike. Principal is Mr. Carlos Cruz. School chess sponsors are Ms. Delia Lopez and Mr. Arthur Brewer.
