This game is tons of fun. An ante is posted, then each player is dealt seven cards face down. Each player selects three cards from their hand to give away. These cards are given to the player immediately to your left. Once you've passed your three cards to your left you may pick up the cards from your right.

With these seven cards, make your best five card poker hand, and throw the other two cards away. Now the betting begins.

The Betting

The betting is done as a showdown. Players flip one card face up at a time, betting in between, until the final card is flipped up. Each player must place their five cards in the order they want to bet them before the flipping of cards begins. Once the first card has been flipped players are not allowed to rearrange the order in which they show their cards.

A Fun Variation

A fun variation of this game is to do three passes of cards. The first pass is three cards to your left, then two cards to your left, then one card to your left.

This is fun because cards can be passed around the table. Theoretically four people could have any card during one hand. Another cool thing is if the person to your right doesn't keep track of the cards they are giving you. These people are great, because they'll give you say a Jack on the first round and the second round, which is cool.
