The Wrath of Chaotix

Chapter I

"Who are you?" demanded Ordac. "And what business have you here?"

"My name is David Marshal. I lead the soldiers of Milidur. Our emperor is desperate. The Alliance of the Seven Kingdoms has almost been broken. Only Milidur, Malting, and Jenu remain. The three of us are no match for Chaotix and his newly expanded lands. We need help."

"Yes, I have been disturbed by this recent turn of events, but I have more important matters. Good luck," Ordac said nonchalantly.

"How can you say that?" said David. "You are a wizard, aren’t you? You can help us put an end to this."

"I am sorry, but I have searched many years for the man who has murdered my family. I do not concern myself with that fool Chaotix. If he is destined to rule the world, so be it."

"I have traveled far to get to you," said David. "I have traveled many hundred miles south from Sera, Milidur’s capitol. I am not about to take no for an answer."

Ordac stared at the man. If he wanted a fight, he was going to get it. The man was powerful, and had a two-handed sword, but he would fight him right now. He stood up, but suddenly remembered why his father had taught him magic. Here he had a golden opportunity to join the struggle against Chaotix. "Very well, you have yourself a partner," he said. Ordac realized that he had only been wasting his life away these last ten years. "I assume you have a plan."

"I have accomplished half of it already," said David. "Getting you to join was the hard part. The Republic of Kirgo has been neutral for many years. We will convince them to join. While we are here, we will first go to Jakole, the capital city of this country-"

"I’m familiar with the geography of this country!" Ordac shot at him. "I have lived here in Jenu all my life."

"From there," continued David, "we go to Sera. Finally we will go to the Roaj, capital of Kirgo. When can you leave?"

"After what I’ve been through these last years, I’m ready for anything," Ordac said blankly. "Now is as good as any time."

They left Ordac’s house traveling up the peninsula. They would encounter some thieves, not seriously armed. (This is the author speaking. When I speak in parenthesis, I am telling how something in the story might work out if in the actual game. Ordac only has the spells Dark Power and Pit of Blackness at this point. At level fifteen he starts to receive his other spells). Their major concern was a group of thugs that Chaotix had paid to start trouble in Jenu met them just outside the city of Jakole. (This is the first boss of the game).

Their David and Ordac find six thieves, led by a slightly larger one, who is the leader. They are robbing an overweight man, who is begging for help.

"Leave him," said Ordac. "Let the lower people fend for themselves."

"Don’t you notice something strange about their tattoos?" said David. "They are symbols of Chaotix. He must have sent them here to start trouble."

"It is a sad time if the invasion of Jenu has started so soon," sighed David. "I thought this land would be late to fall to His legions."

"He won’t invade this land, or any other as long as I am around," said David with determination. "Let us show His forces our power!"

David runs up, with Ordac behind him. "Leave this poor thing alone," Daniel says. The men let the fat man go who ran off as fast as he could. "That poor man was but an appetizer for Chaotix’s hungry and greedy forces. Now it is time for the main course!" as he says that, he draws his sword.

"Who do these lowlifes think they are," said the men. "Who is this Chaotix we hear about?"

"He’s the new leader that hired us," said the boss. He spat on the ground. "We will make these puny men bow before us and our Leader!"

The battle began, the men drew knives, but the leader held a mace, forged in the fiery pits of Salan Lakor by Chaotix Himself. It was fairly easy to take out his men, but then the leader stepped forward.

"For Milidur, and the soldiers who have died protecting our freedom and justice!" shouted David.

"For the old wishes of Jingo, my deceased father," cried Ordac.

They fought the leader. Normally two warriors the caliber of David and Ordac would have finished him off, but he wielded one of Salan Lakor’s most powerful and wicked weapons. "That sword had a power to keep him alive long after his body and soul should have perished," said Ordac.

At last, David said, "I must call forth the forces of Milidur, for now it is our only hope! This horn I pocess shall call forth the forces of Milidur." (In the game, the battle would begin and the five goons would be taken out, then the fight with their leader. During the battle, after 525 hit points of damage were done to him, David would say this).

He blew the horn, summoning Miliduran guards on the border of Jenu, who come out and attack this leader. (In the game, they would arrive and the leader would be killed).

"Thank you, my friends," David said. "Do not ride back to your post with sad faces, for I have obtained the legendary Ordac."

Ordac scowled at the soldiers, but decided best to keep his mouth closed. The soldiers cheered, and wished them luck for the rest of their journeys.

"Let’s get out of here," said Ordac. We’re almost to Jakole, and the sooner we arrive, the better."

"Wait a minute, what about these guys here," he said, pointing to the fallen thugs.

Ordac walked up to them, and ripped off the sleeve of the sniveling thug. "Just as you said," Ordac said, observing the man’s tattoos. "These symbols are the very same Chaotix uses. Look here," said Ordac, pulling off the shirt of another and examining the tattoos. "This is a tattoo of the very mace Chaotix uses in battle. Or look here," said Ordac again, looking at the back of one of their necks. "You were right, David. Here’s one of the Stone of All Seeing. Only Chaotix uses their symbols. I’m sure that tattoos of the Stone of All Knowing and Stone of All Power are tattooed somewhere on his body. Without a doubt, they are His troops."

"Maybe not," said David. "The leader seemed to be the evil one, they simply followed that man. Let them live on one condition."

"What is that?" asked one of the goons, pulling his shirt back on.

David said, "You will end your lives of thievery and join the army of Milidur. Or you may face death. Your choice."

The man quickly said, "All right! Whatever you say! Just spare our lives."

David nodded, and the horsemen of Milidur gave the five men some extra horses to ride back to Sera. "You have potential to be good soldiers," said David. "Concentrate on your fighting, and not on bullying."

"Whatever you say, sir," gasped another man. They rode off with David’s troops, across the border to Milidur.

"The troops of Chaotix cannot be trusted," muttered Ordac, as they left.

"As I said before, I think they’re not really Chaotix’s troops, just their leader," said David.

"I won’t argue, only because it will get us nowhere," said Ordac. "But do not be overtrusting, His real troops are far less forgiving."

They passed into Jakole, capitol of Jenu.
