Disclaimer

Looking through my collection of files I've been quite amazed at just how much I have created over the years. Taken as a whole it would probably make a stack of printed manuscript over a foot high. Most of it is crap, of course, and much of it is plagiarised and then altered so my players won't recognise more than a reference here and a pun there.

I have decided to present some of what remains here. It may make interesting reading, provoke useful ideas, or even be suitable for slotting into your own campaigns. In a way it's a returning of the good fortune I've had culling ideas and material from the net.

        What you'll find here:

  1. links to my AD&D Campaign notes, including new spells, campaign history, bios of major characters - both living and dead - and more
  2. links to my Heroes Campaign notes
  3. links to the page of my friend Ant, with whom I've co-written many tournament adventures, some of which he has put up on his page
  4. a gallery of artwork by Craig Lawrie and Ed Orman, inspired by two AD&D campaigns, a Heroes Unlimited campaign and a Rifts campaign
  5. a page paying homage to several out-of print, but still excellent, RPGs
  6. new rules, campaign data, and other original material for my Rifts campaign
  7. articles I've written on the subject of role-playing, for publication (though not all have been published beyond this site)

HIGH LEVEL is what my AD&D campaign is called. This is the main page for it, with an outline of the campaign, bios of the current major PCs and NPCs, and notes on creative sources. From this page you'll also find links to the campaign history, broken into 5 books; the history from the point of view of Nathan Kikura, one of the current major characters, written by his player, Francis Polach; new spells; and The Boneyard, a memorial for those fallen characters which are missed... and some we're glad are dead.

Ereggsig is what my 3rd. Ed. D&D campaign is called. Here is the history of play, providing a lot of hints about the setting, and I will progressively add more information allowing the setting to be used by other GMs.

My Heroes Campaign     The notes on a Heroes Unlimited campaign I ran for nearly 10 years. The "dark future" world I created became the "history" for my Rifts campaign, which succeeded it.

Ant's Page    Follow the links through Ant's page to his gaming files, and you'll discover some adventures he and I wrote. They are largely Heroes Unlimited adventures, with a few Beyond the Supernatural modules thrown in for good measure.

Tovanen's World

Craig and Ed's Artwork    All the art that appears here is copyright to my good friends, Craig Thomas Herbert Lawrie and Edward Charles Orman. It's art inspired by my AD&D and Heroes campaigns, one now resting in peace, one still running after 12 years... the single exception is from a campaign run by a mutual friend, which I was lucky enough to also enjoy. Craig has his own web site. When he puts something on it, I'll link to it :)

Out-of-Print RPG Homage Page    Have you ever noticed how TSR releases excellent games, waits for them to develop a cult following, then stops printing it and any supplements for it, making it at best collectable and at worst impossible to find? Well, they're not the only offenders. Some of my favourite game systems have been out of print for years... here they are.

Rifts

I am running a Rifts campaign which ran on from my Heroes Unlimited campaign. Unsatisfied with the basic, supplied American setting, I struck out to make an entirely (well, nearly) new setting in Australia. Naturally, now that I've done this, Palladium Books is releasing their own Australian Supplement... but I'll bet on mine, thanks. I have written so much stuff for this it's scary, but the files below have been carefully selected and edited, so that my players (should they browse by) will not discover anything *too* critical. The files are:

        The Basic Setting

        New Races & Professions

        Rules for Recovery from Injury

        Weapons

        Armour

        Robots & Power Armour

        Vehicles

        My Alternative Cyborg Construction Rules

        New Races & Societies

        Monsters and other Encounters

The UAR Stronghold of Mount Magnet

        The Free City of Midland

        The Town of Larsen

Articles on the subject of role-playing, for the benefit of the game-master. These are not restricted to the subject of Rifts, or Heroes, or AD&D.

Note: should anyone notice any glaring inaccuracies, inconsistencies, or omissions in my files, please email me at cyberman@nospam.webone.com.au. I have attempted to remove all material which is not my own original work: if you see something there that shouldn't be, I apologise in advance and again, please notify me. I'll fix it ASAP.

Why not leave your mark? I didn't do all this work so you could just leech-n-go, y'know.
