Let There Be Light
A short thesis by Alicia

When tempted to do anything in secret, ask yourself if you would do it in public; if you would not
to it, be sure it is wrong. → Thomas Jefferson
Over the years, I think Americans have at last come to realize the truth of this statement.
Unfortunately, people are often weak, and those things with are done in secret have continued,
and become more and more pronounced. Now in our unusually rebellious generation, there are
those exceptionally defiant ones who work tirelessly the embrace the weakness, to make the
general public accept those things before now relegated to the darkness so that they can bring
those things naturally locked in the safety of the undiscussed into the light, thus validating their
own actions. If an action is accepted in the general public, it not longer needs to be done in
secret, and therefore is no longer wrong. This is the logic of an age where right and wrong is
relative, there is no Higher Truth, and the scales are tipped in favor of the vocal minority.
Unfortunately, these defiant ones can not get away from “the truth is out there” scenario, and so
you will often find them battling their own demons in the form of any right left in the world. The
most-heard voices may all agree with these ideas for the benefit of self, and yet they find the
world around them does not change so that right is wrong and wrong is right and nothing will be
good enough for them.
At the same time, we have the silent majority. One might even thing the masses are standing by
to see how far the desperate can go before they come up against their own wall, their invisible
enemy. It may be true that they will be stopped or tempered eventually, but our society can
indeed be changed by the opinions of its people. When those who do accept the higher power and
see the true distinction between right and wrong do not speak up, not only can the effects or lack
of effects be disastrous, but it becomes their own conformation by forfeit. Look around you and it
is simple to see more and more common belief of the secret practices, embraced now, being in
the right. The public wishes it so.

I Cor 4:5 So do not make any hasty or premature judgements before the time when the Lord
comes again, for He will both bring to light the secret things that are now hidden in darkness
and disclose and expose the secret aims (motives and purposes) of hearts. Then every man will
receive his due commendation from God.

Isaiah 5:20-24 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and
light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in
their own eyes and prudent and shrewd in their own sight!...Who justify and acquit the guilty for
a bribe, but take way the rights of the innocent and righteous from them!....They have rejected
and cast away the law and the teaching of the Lord of hosts and have not believed but have
treated scornfully and have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
