A day or two in Italy
A day or two in Italy
One of the perils of my job is occasional trips to Europe.
In March this year I spent 5 days in Italy for a two hour meeting.
The peril in this case was Milan taxi drivers.
The following were taken in Rome.
The fountain below the Spanish steps.
A shot of the Spanish Steps.
A shot from the Spanish Steps.
A morning walk by the river.
It was a warm Sunday morning.
Near the Ponte Cavour.
The place was full of churches.
The Palazzo Di Giustizia.
Looking south from the Palazzo.
The Piazza Adriana.
On the Ponte St. Angelo.
Someone else on the Ponte St. Angelo.
Still on the Ponte St. Angelo.
Last shot of the Ponte St. Angelo.
The Trevi fountain.

A manic street preacher?
A thoughtful Pope Pius IX is unbothered by the restoration work at
St Peter's Basilica behind him.
Inside St. Peter's. The roof.
Inside St. Peter's. An interestingly lit statue.
St. Peter's Square - isn't square!
St. Peter's Square - the back door.
It'll be great when it's finished - the Coliseum.
Inside the coliseum.
The famous mouth of truth. Gregory Peck's severed hand
is on display inside the church.
