Chou Kai
Chou Kai is one of Benares's loyal followers. He commands various creatures including Ran Pao Pao. Although most of the time Chou Kai has one of his creatures do the dirty work, Chou Kai himself is very capable of handling things on his own. Chou Kai uses magical items like spirit wards. In the anime, he also demonstrates some martial arts abilities.
Chou Kai seems to have been instructed by Benares to find and destroy the keys to Konron. In order to enter Konron, one needs a "key" to open the way. Pai and Yakumo cross paths with Chou Kai when they come into possession of one of the keys to Konron.
