The latest incarnation of Lucifer/Nanatsusaya is the 18 yearold Kira Sakuya. Nanatsusaya took over the body of the real Kira Sakuya after a car accident killed both the child and his mother. As the boy lay dying, the spirit of Nanatsusaya comes to him and makes his usual offer. He will use the body of Kira Sakuya and become one with his soul. In exchange Nanatsusaya will do all the things the boy wanted to do before he died (read books:) He also made Nanatsusaya promise to do things to cause his father to hate him. The boy is very kind and knows his father has been through enough. He does not want his father to suffer and be sad when he dies. Kira/Nanatsusaya tries to fulfill all these wishes, but it is harder then it seems. His father loves him too much, so no matter what he does wrong his father always forgives him.

After time Kira comes to love his father in return. He does not understand these human emotions, but he feels them more than he ever did before. This is most likely due to the fact that he assimilated with a human soul. This Kira Sakuya actually likes the Earth and doesn't want it to be destroyed. He finally does find the new reincarnation for Alexiel in the form of a teenager, Mudou Setsuna. Kira acts as the older brother type figure for Setsuna and cares very deeply for him. This incarnation of Nanatsusaya is the most human of them all...and eventually he is even willing to die for Setsuna. In volume 14 of the manga he takes a hit from Rosiel that was meant for Setsuna. Rosiel later offers him the chance to heal his dying body if he kills Setsuna. Kira refuses and turns the blade on both himself and Rosiel. Rosiel is not dead, however, and deals Kira a fatal blow. The pendant of Nanatsusaya shatters and hell falls apart from the death of Lucifer.

| Rosiel decides to bring Lucifer to back to life and has complete control over him because he has restored the pendant. This "Kira" has all his memories, but has none of the human emotions that went with those memories. This is truly Lucifer. When he meets up with Setsuna and Katoh again, he strikes down Katoh coldly...without a blink of an eye. Will Kira/Lucifer break out of Rosiel's control? Lucifer is very dangerous...even Katan senses this. Even with the pendant Rosiel might not have as much control as he thinks...Lucifer could simply be biding his time. However, Setsuna happens to have a small shard of the pendant. Can he use it to get Kira-sempai back, or will Lucifer be in control from here on in? These questions still lack answers... |
