Hakone
Hakone is a resort town located within a national park.  The whole area is located within an extinct volcano that collapsed in upon itself.  It is known for its gorgeous views of Mt Fuji, the Fujiya Hotel, Lake Ashi (Ashi-no-ko), and its small torri gate.  This torri gate is considered one of the three most beautiful sites in Japan.  There are also many hiking trails located within the surrounding hills.

Onsen Tamago are eggs that are hard boiled in the hot-springs.  First, they are shipped up on carts and then thrown into the hot-spring.  While they boil they turn black.  After they come out they are sold and eaten.  They were very good.  I got to eat them on a couple of occasions.
After eating the eggs we boarded a boat in Lake Ashi and sailed to other side.
On the other side we got to view one of the most majestic sites in all of Japan.  If there had been no cloud cover Mt. Fuji would be rising in the background.
After viewing that we took a tram up to the top of Kami-gora.  There we saw a beautiful shrine.  It had lightning rods because it was struck so often by lightning
