Ami Mizuno is the intelligent strategist Sailor Mercury.
Mercury's role as a scout is to be the planner. Her powers are actually defensive, rather than offensive and she keeps out of the way during most of the action. Using her computer and her visor, Mercury has gotten the scouts out of a lot of tight spots. Her attacks consist of bubbles and jets of water or ice.
Ami attends Juuban Junior High School where she is the top student. She spends a lot of time on her schoolwork and is working towards being a doctor, like her mother. Her favorite hobbies are reading and working on computers.
