Thanks to Justin Walters for helping me with the Html.

----> In Japan, Animation is an art form with an established school for artists, voice actors and some of the more important production personnel.

Art form

----> Although you might fault me for saying it's an art form, you have to admit that the results speak for themselves. Compare the series. Robotech which started about ten years ago to the present series of Gi Joe and you will see the difference both in the quality of the work, the detail of the characters and the strength of the story line.

Created for

----> Another thing you might like to note is that generally cartoons in the United States with the exception of two series which can be found on MTV are geared towards children of ages 5-10 one example is Gi-Joe Extreme. Animation on the other hand are generally geared to specific age groups. for example, Dragonball is geared towards 5-10. Robotech and the original additions, "Sentinels and Southern Cross" were mainly geared towards 12-18 age group while the present one out, Marcross plus is geared towards the 15-21 age group.

Profession.

----> It's not like most of the western world where they use celebrities to do the voices. It's actually the opposite where celebrities are created when they do the voices of various characters in successful episodes. However, the more famous people are those of the main artists who create the stories and the drawings that we so love. In fact, there are accredited art schools in Japan which are created for the sole purpose of training people in the skills of creating Anime, either as artists, voice actors or various other essential jobs.
