The one named Shirogami Ryuji (Part I)

Text: His name is Shirogami Ryuji, age 14 though he's always told he never looks his age. He's the kumicho of Kuryugumi, the top gokudo of the Kansai region. In people's eyes, he's expressionless, indifferent and is not attached to anything.

Other kumiin: {The former kumicho used to smile at least......}

Text: Well so he appears------...

Ryuji is slowly lifting the covers to Tsukasa's futon. [Futon is the duvet-like thing that Japanese people use to sleep on... yes... on the floor.]

Tsukasa however, finds it draughty and slaps down the covers.

Ryuji, who's not wearing a top: "......"

Tsukasa is sleeping next to Kaya, both are oblivious to Ryuji's attempted advances.

Ryuji tries a different part of the futon. However, again, Tsukasa finds it draughty and kicks Ryuji out.

Ryuji: "..." He's shivering in the cold, sitting cross legged.

Text: Actually, he's the type of person that will go after something until he reaches his goal. He does not know the words give up. He is as persistent as a snake.

Kamo-san and Bun-san are watching silently from the door.

Kamo-san, with a handkerchief to his eyes: {...Sandaime... Sandaime! Do you want to sneak into Tsukasa-san's futon that much...... I can't let... the other kumiins see this Sandaime......}

Bun-san is behind Kamo-san: "......"

There are the sound effects of Ryuji being kicked and/or slapped.

Text: His name is Shirogami Ryuji, age 14 though he's always told he never looks his age. He's warm now because of the physical activity he's been doing, trying to get into Tsukasa's futon. He's the kumicho of Kuryugumi, the top gokudo of the Kansai region. His glance can make both the katagi and the yakuza freeze in terror.

Picture of him walking by people, scaring them.

Text: Well so he appears---

Tsukasa rolls over all of the sudden, and kicks the blanket away.

Text: She's warmed up because of the physical activity.

Author's note: Get up won't you!

There is a space large enough for one person.

Ryuji's eyes flash. In the next frame, he's suddenly lying next to Tsukasa.

Text: ---But the real Shirogami Ryuji will tolerate the coldness of early dawn to sneak around for his goal. Sadly, he's male.

Ryuji: "......" He suddenly has his arms around Tsukasa, who is fast asleep. He's got his hand on her chest...

They both start shivering, since it's getting colder.

Text: That is the one named Shirogami Ryuji---...

Kamo-san: "Congratulations Sandaime! You finally managed to sneak in......" He has tears in his eyes.

Bun-san: "......"

Kamo-san and Bun-san are tucking both Ryuji and Tsukasa in.

Author's note: And this happened just minutes before what happens on the next page.

[This extra translation tells the story of how Ryuji got into Tsukasa's sleeping area that Christmas Day. Think of it as a prelude to episode no. 12.]

[Yeah, yeah, this needs an explanation. In Japan, many public schools have kyushoku, or lunches for students. Students take turns serving and cleaning up after each other. I don't think they appear after Grade 6 but I could be wrong. Anyways, this 1 page extra is about what may happen if it was Ryuji's turn to serve...]

Yabu [Tsukasa's friend, in case you've forgotten]: "Today's kyushoku is curry right~~~"

Izushi [also Tsukasa's friend]: "Isn't Tsukasa on (serving) duty today?"

Both of them are looking forward to lunch.

Izushi: "Let's ask for an extra large serving~~"

Yabu: "Yeah---!"

A ladle bangs on the edge of a large pot.

Someone glares at them.

Izushi: "!!"

Yabu: "Shi...! Shirogami-sa..."

Ryuji, wearing a cap, mask and 'apron': "......" The air crackles with tension. "...You want some..." [Well... I don't know if you can call it an apron... It's more like a gown...]

All the students waiting in line freak and back up automatically.

Tsukasa shows up, all pissed: "Man---!! If there isn't enough then say there isn't enough!! Just get some back from the ones you served too much!! I told you to ration it properly!!"

Izushi and Yabu are shaking their heads. "It's okay! It's okay Tsukasa! We hate curry so we didn't really want some anyway!!"

Ryuji: "......" There's a large lump on the back of his head, delivered by Tsukasa of course.

Author's note: ---Rokuo has no kyushoku...... I just wanted to draw this...... Ryuji in an apron......

Tsukasa: "N~?"

Akira: "Your brothers... They're not home yet but are they out somewhere?" {Minors aren't supposed to be out after 8......}

Akira is seated next to Tsukasa who's bent over her laptop. He's helping her study.

Tsukasa starts.

Text: It is currently 1 AM.

Tsukasa: "Akira-san... To tell you the truth," {Though I was hiding it all this time...} "That tea cup... Was actually given to us......"

Akira: "...H~~~m......."

Tsukasa: "This table and that heater, the fridge and the dish rack and the laundry basket and other things were stuff that we found in the garbage storage area...!"

Akira: "...E...?" {Tsukasa, do you know that's against the law!?}

Tsukasa: "And the electricity! We're only supposed to use it during 6 to 10 PM. We only use 1 bucket full of water to wash the plates and stuff and 1 bucketful per person for bathing. As for laundry, we go to the coin laundry and use the washers that other people are using!!"

Akira, looking confused: "... ... ...Tsukasa...?" {...Um...} "What exactly... are you talking about......"

Tsukasa's brothers: "We're ho~me!"

Text: ---Kise Akira. At that moment,

Akira: "...A!" He points.

Toshi and Sho: "A!" They point at Akira.

Text: He now slowly realizes the truth behind why Tsukasa had worried about him so much that she cried---

Taku: "You know each other?"

Tsukasa, who's avoiding looking at her brothers: "..." She's pretending to be interested in her laptop.

Azuma: "That's a lie!!" He points at Kamo-san and Bun-san. "Would the real Kuryugumi's Sandaime would never have bodyguards dressed like this------!!"

Kamo-san in the panda costume, looking slightly embarrassed: "UU!!" {Dammit!! I can't say anything back!! But it's the truth!!}

Bun-san, red in the face in the rabbit costume: "That's why I said we shouldn't do this! Kamojima-s~~~n!! Waaaaaa!"

Narration by Tsukasa: ---A lot happened yesterday---

There is a picture of a rabbit and panda combo carrying off an unconscious Tsubaki.

Narration by Tsukasa: The kidnapping of Asaba-kun, the rescue mission...

There is a picture of Tsukasa and Tsubaki looking happy, while Ryuji is pouting and looking away. There are a number of fallen men in the background.

Narration by Tsukasa: Asaba-kun had kept his distance from his father until now.

Itsuro [Tsubaki's father]: "Didn't your mother say that when you were coming here (Osaka) to be careful because of the problems between us and Takarabe!! You stupid!!" He hits Tsubaki on the head. He's still wearing the armour...

Tsubaki, suddenly throws a punch at his father's face and makes contact. "Who's the stupid one here!? Coming now, when it's too late------!!" Tsubaki is using the Osaka dialect. Apparently, he does this when he's angry or worked up.

Sumire is seen in the distance, freaking out.

Itsuro and Tsubaki start a battle in the middle of the street, while Azuma, Sumire and the anesan look on.

Tsubaki: "If Kozuki didn't come I would have been dead long ago------!! You worthless father--!!"

Itsuro: "What are you saying you baka son of mine--!!"

Tsubaki: "What the!"

Itsuro: "What the! What the!"

Narration by Tsukasa: Because they finally said the words they've been wanting to say, they were finally able to talk like father and son---...

Itsuro: "...Hmph. I didn't think you would have a fist fight wit me."

Tsubaki: "It's not like I didn't inherit your blood!"

Itsuro and Tsubaki are sitting on the ground, panting out of breath with bruised faces and messed up hair.

Narration by Tsukasa: ---Things are fine now--- ---except for the problem I have right now------

Ryuji: "...It's because you guys did this confusing thing."

Kamo-san, holding up his panda paw: "...Though you say so Sandaime... This is Osaka. Even if you say it's not necessary we follow, we can't just let you go. Because the snacks we had bought while you were at the orienteering contest would have gone to waste!!" {Between Shibuya and I we limited it to 20000 yen!! And we bought the good stuff too!!}

Shibuya: "...And...... we wanted to try the okonomiyaki here......"

[An okonomiyaki looks like a pancake... but it's made mostly out of flour and cabbage. Other toppings would be meat/vegetables/shrimp/squid. If you've Ranma 1/2 then you should know what I'm talking about. It's the stuff that Ukkyou was always making. I think they originated in the Osaka area...]

Kamo-san and Bun-san display their large sacks of snacks.

Ryuji: "...You guys......" There is a popped vein on his head. {So you just wanted to participate in the graduation trip......}

Tsukasa: "......"

Text: ---After the rescue of Asaba-kun------ Tsukasa, Ryuji and Asaba-kun were told to write a paper reflecting on their unauthorized individual behaviours when they got back to the hotel. [Yes, this is a form of 'punishment' that's meted out to students sometimes...]

Tsubaki, who's holding a pencil between his nose and his upper lip: {...Why do I have to write this anyway? If they have a problem, then they should look to Takarabegumi!}

There is the sound effect of someone writing.

Ryuji, who's leaning his head on his hand: {...Why do I have to write this? If they have a problem then they should talk to Asaba.}

There is the sound effect of someone writing.

Ryuji: "......"

Tsubaki: "......"

Both of them are watching Tsukasa who is sitting between them. She is taking this seriously and is writing away.

Text: The reports were then handed in.

Tsukasa's paper.

No matter what the reason, it was careless for me to have gone off on my own. I know this caused you and the other teachers much worry. ...Thus I will make sure this will not happen again. I'm very sorry for all of this.

This one is a page insert... well some of the cells are recycled. It's from episode no. 38 in case you're going by the original.

It's the part after Tsukasa's first battle with Rui and Asago is missing part of her right arm. Hizaki and co. are taking it easy waiting for the cops to arrive. [In case you've forgotten, I'm assuming that Rui is now male.]

Tsukasa and Yuuwa freak out when they suddenly hear a loud thud.

Tsukasa: "...E...?" {That blond...}

Rui is crouched on the ground and glaring up at Yuuwa and Tsukasa with really evil eyes. He's holding his hands to his mouth and breathing heavily.

Tsukasa and Yuuwa: "Ge!!"

Yuuwa, blanching: "The drugs have worn off!! He's dangerous!!" {Let's get out of here!!}

Tsukasa does the scream: "Gyaaaaaaaaa!" {His eyes are freaky------!!} [Freaky is not a good translation but you'll have to put up with that.]

Tsukasa: "Y... Yeah...!"

She turns when she hears a moan.

Blood splashes to the floor.

Rui is convulsing and coughing up blood.

Yuuwa, very deformed: "Hey!!" {Hurry up and come!}

Tsukasa is speechless at first: "...! ...Do...... you think he's going to die...?" {If we just leave him like that...?}

Yuuwa: "Who cares!? He's killed a lot of people!!" {Sumon's neechan had it bad too!}

Tsukasa: "...W... Well yeah...!" {When you put it that way.}

Yuuwa: "He won't die, the cops are coming!!" {When the cops find him they'll throw him in the hospital anyway."

Tsukasa and Yuuwa glance at each other. The sound of the sirens is getting louder.

At the main entrance, Ryuji is greeted by Sumon and his kumiin.

Yuuwa, holding his ears: {What loud voices! They say that you can tell how much the kumiin respect their kumicho by the way he's greeted...... ...And... that there's only 2 years difference between us......}

Ryuji, in the background: "...Take the guests to the meeting room."

Sumon: "...Hai..."

The kumiins from Sakahogigumi start filing past Tsukasa. She spies Sendai.

Tsukasa: {...A...} "... ...The plan... didn't go too well." She sheepishly holds out the hidden mike.

Tsukasa: "I forgot I was even carrying this thing around. I guess that just shows the plan made by a shirouto. I overlooked a lot." [Not a direct translation, but it makes sense I think.]

Sendai: "...That's not completely true......"

Tsukasa starts.

Sendai: "...Since we were waiting in separate groups, nobody was caught by the cops. ...And our kumicho came out unmarked." {How great, how great.} He kind of smiles.

Behind him, Tsukasa is popping veins all over the place. {Are you trying to be sarcastic~~~~~~!! And who's fault is it that Ryuji is covered with cuts------!! And even Asago, and even Asago------!!}

Sumon: "...Sandaime, before that, your wounds should..."

Tsukasa: "!"

Ryuji: "...They're not that bad......"

Tsukasa, who's at his side: "---..."

Ryuji: "I'm worried about Asago."

Sumon: "...E...?"

Ryuji: "I just took her to the medical treatment centre, but it doesn't seems she needs me now." {She had me ordered out...} "It's not life-threatening but could you stay by her side? She's probably pretty down......"

Sho, excitedly: "Taku-nii---! Kaya-sa---n! Tsukasa and Toshi sent something from their vacation place------!!" {There seems to be a lot in here---!}

Sho is holding a heavy looking box.

Kaya and Sho are sitting excitedly while Taku opens the box. All 3 of them are shown wearing clothing covered with numerous patches.

Kaya: {I wonder what it is.}

Sho: {What is it?}

Taku is pulling off the packing tape from the box: {...Souvenir...? I don't think they had enough money to be able to send so much...... What could......}

The contents of the box... are foul smelling boxes of food.

One set of boxes is labelled as the breakfast set from the Osaka hotel. Another is labelled as the dinner set from the Kyoto hotel while the third pile of boxes is labelled as the dinner set from the Nara hotel. For the visually impaired, the lobster that Tsukasa had grabbed is seen sticking out of the Osaka breakfast set.

Sho, Kaya and Taku: "UU!!"

Included with the meals was a letter from Toshi and Tsukasa.

To Taku-nii, Shohei and Kaya-san �

All of these are from a very pricey hotel!! We thought wouldn't be fair for just us to enjoy this so we're sending some of it home. Because of our budget, we have to send them all together, so we'll pray that they won't go bad.

There's a picture of Toshi and Tsukasa praying.

"Don't go bad, don't go bad."

"At least make it home."

Text: ...We're really happy... really... but...

Taku, reading the letter again. {...That's true... if they send it cold then they'll be charged extra for refrigeration fees......... and to send that from each hotel......}

The Tokyo Crazy Paradise Easily Understood Summary!!

The most interesting part of the story!! The thrilling story will still continue but now that the series has passes 60 episodes let's go through the recent events! Ready it carefully!

POINT 1: The approaching clash of Garyukai vs Tsukasa and Kuryugumi

Garyukai is the extremely powerful gokudo group based in the Kansai region. Their power is known and feared as much as Kuryugumi, number one of the Kanto region. They lately have been drugging people with a special drug that induces personality changes, and with this, they plan on overtaking Japan for themselves...!

MISUMI: Garyukai's don. He's bent on crushing Kuryugumi and gaining Tsukasa.

SHIKI: Misumi's underling. Nicknamed Scorpion. Is persistenly chasing after Tsukasa.

Tsukasa and Misumi had a near miss at the graduation trip while they were in Kyoto! When they met at Tokoname Island, Tsukasa was dressed as a girl...! Misumi, who was interested in Tsukasa's strength ordered Shiki to capture Tsukasa. At a dangerous point though, Akira and Munakata come to the rescue. BUT! Garyukai has returned again...!

POINT 2: Heart broken Asago

Ever since the graduation trip, Asago has been nervous about being the "seisai". Is there light shining the way out of her wounded heart...? The numerous times that the title "seisai" has pressured her...... she was also hurt by the fact that Ryuji was wounded because of her. The words "failure as a seisai" plague her mind. Munakata appears! Can he save Asago!?

Check this as well!

Misumi and his gang overlap Tsukasa dressed as a girl with the legendary kage no seisai. Do they know something about Tsukasa's past?
Taku-nii's expression changed suddenly at the mention of Garyukai. Does it have to do with the Kozuki family?
But most of all is the seisai position. In that state, can Asago make a come back?

It goes back to Tsukasa and Akira. A piece of the fight scene where Tsukasa kicks a guy in the face is cut out.
Akira and Tsukasa pose in proudly. "Yessssss!!" {Did you see that you hoodlums!!}
Tsukasa: "...But we shouldn't be so happy like this. Escaping like this we're now in some strange place."
Akira: "..."
Tsukasa: "...Since we did escape running upwards."
The part where Tsukasa decides to jump down to the lower floor from a couple floors above and Akira stopping her is cut out, as is a short conversation between Misumi and Shiki.
Tsukasa: "A!"

Page 143. Tsukasa: "Dammit they found us...!"
Akira and Tsukasa turn to see Misumi and Shiki.
Tsukasa: "...Or so I thought... It's Scorpion......" {Scaring me like that... And the other one is a not-so-strong-looking oniisan.} "With you and me it'll be simple." {Right?}

Tsukasa: "Okay, let's do it..."

Azuma blushes and fumbles with the remote control. He finally manages to turn the image off. "Tsu... Tsubaki-san......!!"
Tsubaki is standing behind Azuma, who's sitting on the floor in front of a large 3-D projector.
Tsubaki: "...You...... Why do you always watch Kozuki's 'fight as a swordswoman' scene over and over like that......?" He starts. "Could it be......!! That you've fallen in love � with Kozuki at first sight......!!?" He blanches. {Just like Sumire said, you're really a shotakon!!? Ge! Get away from me!!!}
Azuma: "No------!! ......That's not it...... ...It's really...... ...not like that......" He looks down.
Tsubaki, looking dissapointed: "... ...O~~~h... And when I finally thought I learned of something you liked or had an interest in......" {...Humph. That's no fun.}
Azuma: "......E...?"
Tsubaki: "...'Cause you...... don't talk much about yourself."

Page 8 Tsubaki, standing over Azuma and wagging a finger in his face: "About your birthplace, how you were raised, what you were doing before you came to us (Kadokane)! And the story that when you were young, mother found you covered in blood and on the brink of death! Such a story that sparks one's curiosity, yet you don't talk at all~~~" {That gets people even more curious!!}
Azuma: "...... ...I'm sorry......"
Tsubaki, sighing: "...Well, that's all right......" {You don't have to apologize.} "Every person in this world has a secret that he doesn't want others to know. That's right even that Kozuki when it came to bathing during the graduation trip."
Azuma perks up suddenly: "!!! ...Y... You bathed...? Together......?"
An image of Tsukasa in chest height water springs up.
Azuma: "With Tsukasa-san!?"
Tsubaki stares.
Tsubaki stares some more.

Page 9 Tsubaki's face suddenly goes into a goofy smile. "...Azuma... You... you're really........."
Azuma: "! That's not it~~~~~~!!!"
The TV blares in the background.
TV announcer: "---This Tokoname Island was constructed by the former politician Tokoname Hitoshi--- And as of yesterday, the island was officially opened. Over 100 parentless children were taken there."
The scene shifts to a huge living complex. [I'm not sure if it's a hotel or what though...]

Page 10 Misumi just left the shower and has a bath robe on [and probably nothing else].
A woman lies on a huge bed. Her eyes are wide open as if in shock. There's blood on her lips and on the sheets.

Page 11 Voice: "...So you killed her---..."
Misumi turns and sees Sakaki leaning against the wall. [Do you remember him? He's the dude with the earrings that only showed up a couple of times.]
Misumi, drinking from a glass: "...It's because she asked too many questions......"
Sakaki: "...What, was she a cop......?"
Misumi: "... ...I don't know..."
Sakaki: "...Ha...? You're really not one to make attachments." {Isn't it really that you killed her because you thought she was good...?} "...You..."

Page 12 Sakaki: "have no intention to be interested in any woman aside from Wakasa?"
