  The war did not happen though, for the King suddenly died, and DuBarry was exiled. Now, the crown prince and the princess became the king and the queen of France. People rejoiced and welcomed the new queen because they thought that as DuBarry was gone, the money that the old King used from the taxes to buy DuBarry good things would be used to help the poor, so that the meal price would be lowered, and life would a lot easier. However, since the Queen did not fully understand how the people worked and she was not quite educated well as a Queen, she did not help the people much, and she avoided andiences with people who came to see her. Furthermore, she spent lots of money on beautiful clothing. Because of this, people's and the nobles' hearts started to part away from her.
 Meanwhile, Jeanne, sicked and tired of the poor life she lived in, ran away from home. Meeting a kind noble named Madame la Marquise de Boulainvilliers, she claimed that she was the last survivor of the Valois family, and that she was left an orphan now as her parents died.
