Yep, still December 15thAs you might have guessed, if you noticed earlier that I've started using Frontier to help with my pages, I really like it! I've gone through and "redone" three pages, without retyping anything except the template (which was mostly cut & paste anyway) I still need to figure out how to make it provide the links to the next and previous days, (it's created the table, I just don't know what to do with it!), so if anyone out there is familiar with the program and can give me a tip, drop me a line! It's 4:30 in the afternoon now, and I just got an e-mail from Jevim, saying he'd be working late, so I'm still playing around. To tell the truth, I hadn't realized it was that late and he should be home; I'm used to him coming home after dark (but of course that's when I'm there, not here). I've been semi-productive today, though I really haven't tackled anything I put on my list this morning, except read a tiny bit of news. Mom and I did go to the bank, but she wanted to come back home and bake cookies for Christmas trays, so I didn't get to Wal-Mart or the library today. There's always tomorrow... I did get my "free trial" of Money 98 Financial Suite set up and re-did my finances... it looks like it shouldn't be too hard to start saving some money up to move after Jevim graduates, and so I'm going to try to put at least $50 away a month, if not more. It will be at least a year before I move, so that should add up to at least a nice little chunk of change. Lessee... what else did I do? Not much... took another bath this afternoon to relax and read, (more of "The Elementals" by Morgan Llewelyn) counted out the money in my piggy bank (about $10), and chatted for a while with Connie, who is now settling in down in Springfield. I'm getting a bit tired of webmistressing for the moment, so I think I might work on getting things put away, including something put in my tummy, as I'm hungry again. Oh, that reminds me! I have a particular fondness for Tobler Chocolate Oranges, especially the dark chocolate ones, but except for at the holiday season, they're near impossible to find around here. The grocery stores around Jevim were advertising that they had them, but we went to one that claimed they did, and the supervisor on shift had no clue as to what they were, and we couldn't find them anywhere, so I was a bit disappointed. We never did find them back there, but Connie sent me a message to tell me that she had found some and bought two for me (I'd asked for her to get one for a friend). She was going to mail them, and so I thought they'd be here when I got home, but they weren't. But then today in the mail, Mom got a package from her oldest daughter (my birth mother) and she had sent us each one of the dark chocolate oranges. Since Mom's on a diet, she gave me hers. I'm in chocolate heaven! Actually, I've only had two pieces, the "core" and one "slice", because my tummy isn't too fond of chocolate, despite what my taste buds think, but still... Mmmmmm..... Enough rambling (if you've read all three entries today, you must be sick of it by now!)... my tummy wants food! |
