Well, my eyes checked out fine, and I got a new box of lenses... I have the same prescription for both eyes, so that makes it easy and inexpensive when it's time to get more lenses. A box can last me three months or more, since I don't wear them all that often when I'm around home. In fact, I think that I only bought two boxes before I had to go in for my six month checkup, and I still have a new pair left from those. I prefer to wear my glasses when I'm going to be staying home all day, and spending a lot of time at the computer... it seems to be a little less of a strain to read, and that way I can take a nap whenever the mood strikes.
But when I'm out and about, especially when it's cold, or sunny, I like having my contacts. They don't fog up when you come in from the cold (at least I haven't had that experience yet), and you can wear sunglasses! Besides, I think I look better without 'em... though I think it took Jev a while to get used to me in contacts.
Besides getting my lenses, I picked up a few more things at wally world, and then Mom wanted to go up to the Chinese restaurant for lunch (it's about 25 miles away) and do a little shopping while we were up there. I didn't buy anything (amazing!), but I had a nice lunch, and on our way back I hit the library to return Simple Abundance and the bank for some mad money for my trip.
Just got home, and I popped over to read Jev's entry. I knew he wasn't looking forward to going home, so I wasn't too surprised about what he had to say. I'm glad that I'll be there soon, and hopefully I can give him a little support, when it comes to his father coming down on him. I've been a little nervous about spending four weeks there at his parents', but it was the way things worked out, and hopefully if I'm there beside him, supporting him, it won't be so bad.
I still haven't packed though... so I really do need to do that today and tomorrow. Hopefully I can squeeze everything I want to take into my two upright cases, as I really don't want to mess with the larger suitcase. I guess it's time to go start getting some work done. I'll type to you later...
