A Little Here, and a Little There...

January 29, 1998

I didn't accomplish much of any one thing today, just a little here and a little th ere, but I suppose it does add up. I had a sore tummy, and so I lazed about and then chatted online with an old IRC friend who now has a love across the sea in England until Jevim showed up. After Jevim had dinner, we tackled homework until Babylon 5 came on; his roomie was driving him crazy, talking on the phone, so I mentioned it was time for the show, and we went off to watch it. When he got back, his roomie was gone, and we were able to get some of our homework done.

He finished his program in time to turn it in for the earlier deadline -- something I think he didn't expect he'd be able to do, since he wanted to spend time online with me -- and I got most of the rest of the way through the C++ chapter I was working on, though I think I need to go back and repeat some of it so it really soaks in. They threw too much new stuff at us this time for me to get it all in one reading. Add to that the fact that this chapter was all new to me, and I guess it's just going to take some time. But here it is late Thursday night and I was supposed to get through two chapters this week in addition to this one. *sigh*

Anyway, it's quarter til midnight, and I wanted to read for a while, so I'll wrap this up for now. G'night...
