MUSEUMS, DISPLAY, HERITAGE, HISTORY, CULTURE

How do you feel about the display of human remains in museums? Take a look at what other visitors to my page have said!

A letter written by my then 82 year old great great grandmother to her grandchildren in March 1918, telling them the story of her life. It includes life with an abusive uncle from the time she was orphaned at the age of three, settlement in South Africa just after the Anglo-Zulu war, her husband's role in the American civil war, the deaths of her children, and her life on four continents. A very powerful People's History.

A trip to Lisbon to install an exhibition which I helped to curate, at the World Expo '98.

Results of an anthroplogical study into the experience of childbirth in working class clinics, Cape Town, South Africa.

Part Two

Most of my travels have included trips to museums, exhibitions and places of cultural significance. My trip to Peru, particularly, was made up of visits to Lima's museums, a flight over the famous Nazca Lines, and a visit to the ancient ceremonial centre of Pachacamac.
