My Animals page...(under construction)

Here's Mindy(l) and Bailey(r) looking at the snow! Bailey was one of the few precious things I managed to escape with when I left my ex. I saved Mindy from a life on the streets a few months later. I felt bad having to move them from Asheville but they have adjusted well and now they are my cosmopolitan cats!

Here's my Security System

Bailey recently had a gross eye infection! He had surgery to keep his eye closed to heal, and had to wear a cone for 4 weeks. Mindy was a good little sister when Bailey was ill.

Again, Baby Cat Mindy and Big Cat Bailey.

Here is Mindy not being so good...helping herself to Christmas dinner!

I am working on making this section must more interesting, so stay tuned! For now, here's a great cat site: Cat Box Page and here's another: Cat humor here .

I love bears! I try to get myself in photos with them, with limited success!

Stay tuned as I will rotate these monthly!

Here's me and someone very special at the Western NC Mountain State Fair!

Me and Smokey in South Dakota! I'm glad we stopped as it turned out to be the only sign we saw on the PAC NW trip!

A really large bear at the zoo in Omaha NE!

Another large bear in Branson MO!

I also love moose! Here's me and my first moose sighting! I bring along "Mackenzie Moose" (you can see the Canadian Mountie hat) to help flush them out!

And here's me in the Moose Capital of the north! Karlstad Moose! I DIDN'T see a real one, but maybe on my next midwest visit!

And I love penguins as well!

I used to have an awesome Siberian Husky named Ringo! Here is another picture of him on the deck of my old townhouse in MD Ringo and creep. Look closely ladies, as there are 2 animals in this photo, and you need to stay clear of the rabid one. Too bad that for 2.5 years my ex kept Ringo locked up all day, and beat the crap out of him at least weekly. I couldn't do anything about that, no, but I did try. See "The List". Eventually I stood up to my (now ex-) husband and I contacted the Siberian Husky Rescue of MD. They helped me to find Ringo a GOOD home. He was a great dog! That was the first time I stood up to my abusive ex-husband.

I also once had a cat named Mumbo - my ex-husband forced me to give him to the humane society. That incident is also on "The List". I wish I had a photo, but he was a pretty black cat. I'm not sure of what happened to Mumbo, but they were very understanding and helpful at the shelter. Also, please THINK before you bring an animal into your home. Some shelters are forced to put 90%+ of the animals to sleep because no one wants them! If you can give an innocent animal food, love, and medical care then please consider adopting a pet from your local SPCA chapter. YOU can do your part about this problem! Please spay/neuter your animals!

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE takes many forms. My ex also beat up on me, emotionally and physically. This is the reason I took it upon myself to learn HTML- to break the silence and help other woman if possible. Please give it a look if you haven't already!
