Sponsorship
Sponsorship does not end with new member bids. It is an on-going effort to assist the collegiate chapters to select the best possible candidates for Delta Gamma. Remember that someone took the time and effort to complete a sponsorship form for you! Please send in graduation programs, volunteer sponsorship forms, and newspaper clippings of exceptional young women to help us through out the year. Send all inquiries to her e-mail She is the 1999-2000 Sponsorship Executive Board Member. Tips on How to Write a Sponsor Form1. Before beginning the Sponsor Form, review and gather the information and include a picture if possible. 2. The more information you are able to provide, the better. 3. Type or print clearly. 4. Be as descriptive as possible when filling out a Sponsor Form. It is important to let the evaluating committee know if a woman is shy, reserved or assertive so they can plan a strategy for Rush. 5. Highlight and underscore outstanding potential. 6. Be prompt in remitting your form. 7. If you know grades and activities but not personality or character and you are not comfortable signing the sponsor form, check the box for information only so the chapter can work on other sponsors. However, if you hear from a reliable source that the candidate meets all five points of the star, sign the sponsor form. 8. Let your city Sponsorship Chairman know that you are sending a Sponsor Form to the chapter. This will prevent duplication. 9. Please remember that our chapters recruit women on the five point star and the chapter membership goals. 10. If you wish to be notified after rush, check the appropriate box. Be sure to complete the alumnae information form and sign the Sponsor form. 11. While a Sponsor Form is preferable, a letter can be used. 12. Attaching a resume with detailed activities can be helpful.
