The next morning, I dressed for my alter ego's business, starting with Maidenform "Sweet Nothings Cotton" pale pink panty (size 6) and bra (36B) (they haven't made this style in several years, unfortunately), Leggs Silky Opaques in Jet pantyhose (size Q), my breast enhancers from my local Eckerds pharmacy (they yield A+ to B- cup sizes), and his shirt, suit and necktie. After all, his employer was paying for this, so I had to cooperate.

By late afternoon, the pantyhose had made a great difference in his (and my) disposition, as legs can really get tired when you're on your feet all day. Many of you reading this may well already know this. When I'm on my feet all day, at a trade show, for example, I prefer Sheer Energy or Smooth Silouettes as they have more leg compression.

After my business meetings had concluded late on the previous afternoon, I changed into comfortable shopping clothes and headed for Grapevine Mills (a large outlet mall just a short distance from my hotel). I was (and still am) suffering from a lusting after the right pair of "Mary Jane" style shoes (but since I'm much more frugal than my alter ego, they need to be at the right price)! Specifically, I wanted mid heel (1-1/2 to 2 inches high), black or navy, smooth leather, but I preferred that they not be patent leather.

Grapevine Mills is an "indoor" style mall, but instead of long hallways with branches, it is arranged in somewhat of a racetrack, with shops in the infield and around the edges in the following manner:

where the "*" characters represent the retail spaces and the white band represents the mall hallway. This is said to be a 1 mile long circuit, if you walk directly and don't meander from side to side looking in the windows and stores. There are over 100 stores in this complex, and I was in 7 or 8 of the shoe stores -- I skipped the shops specializing in athletic or mens' or kids' shoes.

Twice around, once to find all the candidates and then again to look at the best options left me without my new Mary Janes, as Payless has had almost what I wanted for well under US$20. The nicest candidate I found was well over US$40.

For the shoe shopping experience, I had outwardly sent my alter ego, with Leggs Silky Opaques pantyhose under my Dockers slacks. His shirt was my blue chambray shirt you can see in a couple pictures in the Orlando sequence. He had to talk to quite a few shop clerks in the shoe stores, as they were eager to ask whether they could help, and it saved him a lot of time looking through what to him (and me) is often ill organized inventory.

In the end, though, it was no new shoes for Dee. I had wanted them for my trip home.
