Yellow Pages

As the PV area is quite huge a total list of houses and services will be made in May. If you have built anything, then make sure that your address will be included with the correct coords for teleporting. Also for Eljay's active map it is important that you notify him if you want the coords to be adjusted.

Finally, please remember to update your sign at your main property so that the other citizens will know whenever you visit.

Regards from Bille
Mayor of Pink Village

Extra!!!
No election needed!
(added 18/May/97)
Only two citizens did register for becoming a member of the PV Council. As the PVC has got a free chair for both, there will be no election as earlier announced.
The new PVC will be presented at the party Saturday 24th of May. Check out the "party page" for info about the PV celebration day.

PV files moved
All PV files, both html's and jpg's, have been moved to 'www. geocities.com/WestHollywood/8382'.

If any of your objects is linked to a PV file, please make sure you have used the new address, as old files now have been deleted.

PV Outland
Every inch of the PV Outland has now been claimed by PV to prevent any future vandalism. Also 20 metres outside the PV Border Road have been covered.

The major parts of PV Outland are still free to build on for anyone, just mail Mayor Bille to get access to the lot you want to build on. Properties outside PV Border Road will not be protected by PV, so be sure to cover some area next to your building.

Info becomes interactive
In April the PV www pages became active with teleport links to all involved locations. The lists of shops, offices, bars, attractions and more can now be used as a links webpage. Any feedback on links not function or if you get to a wrong destination is appreciated.

Probably due to changes within the updated version of the AW browser, some of the links has been down for a few days. This will be adjusted as soon as possible.

Within a few weeks all PV links, both privat homes and public buildings, will be gathered in the new PV yellow pages.

PV Council election

For the very first time in history we are about to choose a Pink Village Council! PVC will consist by two PV citizens together with Mayor Bille. The main task for the new Council will be to co-ordinate ideas and events concerning Pink Village. As the amount of citizens and building activities are increasing, there are also a few administrative matters to handle. If more than two citizens want to join PVC there will be an election running May 19-23th.

Anyone interested in a future PVC membership must mail Bille no later than May 15th.

This is naturally also an excuse for a party! Saturday 24th of May, when votes are counted, we celebrates our community and ourselves - together with the new Council, all the PV citizens, and hopefully lots of guests, too! To deal with the time zones there will be two parties separated by 12 hours. The first party starts at 11.00 gmt, and takes place on Pink Island, mainly along Pink Avenue (2222E). The new Council will be announced. 12 hours later, at 23.00 gmt there will be a party along a line of pubs and cafés on Pink Island and in the PV Outland. Any builder who wants his/her place to get part of the official program should mail Mayor Bille within May 15th.

Gay Ritz Hotel
A quiet place to stay while you build in Pink Village.

This hotel was rebuilt stone by stone here in Pink Village from a quaint little Italian villa. From the heart of wine country you can stay at this hotel for FREE! Kick up your feet and attach your mail address, personal picture or even your web page in your own room. If you are unsure about building in PV then stay here for a while and get meet some of the nice town folk.

I have six rooms for guests so choose one and email johnwaz@mm.com or click the blue sign in the lobby (JD Waz).

The Transit Hall

PV covers a huge area, and in order to move quickly around there has been built a subway system to connect Pink Island to the 8 squares that are located in the PV Outland. This system was made in March - before there was any active map. In some matters the Transit Hall can still be useful - if one learns to use it. For spesific destinations especially at the Pink Island the active map or PV yellow pages will be a better tool.

There are two teleports to the Transit Hall along Pink Avenue. All 8 squares in the PV Outland are teleported from the Transit Hall, and every square has got teleport back to the Transit Hall, PV Centre and to Ground Zero.

Transit Hall - the PV subway.

In the Transit Hall you will find that the teleports are logically located - the teleport to the North Square is placed in direction north, the port to the West Square at west, and so on. The teleports has got more or less the same colour as the ground at the linked square, and by time there will also be signs by each port to help you to remember what to find at the different squares. In this way the system also will function as some sort of an index on where to go in the PV Outland.

Go for a test ride and learn how it can be used! All teleports to Transit Hall are animated with red tiles and carry an orange sign.

Pink girls!

A gay village should not include guys alone - we also need lesbians to complete the perfect gay community! A month ago Lacerta settled down in PV, and we do now hope for a female invation!:)

Lacerta will for a start make sure that some of the boards around are featuring girls - pics that she hopes will be beautiful, provocative, playful, or just plain fun to look at. In the future there will also be added some public scenes specially for lesbians.

Check out June's issue of Pink Point - and join us now if you want to be a part of the development!
