Spent most of my day working on my Church Music
Management System,
adding more hymns to the database. It now has 7310 items!
I must introduce you to Joseph. Over the last 2-3 weeks he has
invited himself over for supper. He's here right now enjoying his meal.
He's a friend of Murdoch's. He's a ginger tabby cat and it looks as if
he's homeless. He is in reasonably good condition, although I can see
one or two fleas romping in his fur. But he's always very hungry.
Perhaps somebody has dumped him. Anyway he is very frightened and I
haven't been able to touch him yet. I was wondering if he knows how to
purr, or if anybody has scratched him behind the ears. I have been
putting his food dish closer and closer to where I am sitting, and this
evening it was right by my feet. I leant over and talked to him while I
was eating, but still didn't attempt to touch him. Perhaps in the next
few days I will be able to. He's a lucky cat! He's getting Hills
Science Diet, the same food I give to Murdoch!
Murdoch doesn't seem to mind him coming in and eating his food.
Sometimes he's been here lying next to me and watching Joseph eating.
Sometimes he will jump down and give Joseph a gentle cuff with his paw.
I must say, Murdoch is really a fantastic cat. Do you know he chases
dogs? He thinks he's a Jack Russell Terrier.
It's so peaceful sitting here this evening (21h17). My caravan windows
are open and there's a gentle breeze blowing through. The full moon
hasn't risen yet. On evenings like this I think of my love, Glen, and
so long for him to be here with me. I wonder what he is doing right
now. I can't wait for him to be released from prison, and it's hard
knowing that it's going to be a while yet. But I am reminded that God
works in seasons, not in time, and when He is ready, Glen will be
released and we'll be together at last. I am so thankful for God's
presence and his encouragement. I reckon that without God, I would have
gone mad!
