Imagine

I was sitting here today reading some material I had been gathering for the site, and it hit me just how much the T* people suffer at the hands of others. Not that there aren't other groups that also suffer similar ridicule. I drifted on to my own thoughts of recent days and events that have not been as bad as many have had, but still not all that good.

Now , you have to understand that my office is in a very small room attached to my garage. When I lean back in my chair, I am up against a small bookshelf that is against one of the outside walls. I hang my calendar here for quick and easy reference. My eyes gaze up and I see this very pretty young woman tending to her garden in what is a nice spring scene. I look at the caption on the side, and as I read it I think , "WOW! Imagine if everyone would follow this the world would be such a wonderful place!" This is what I saw:

"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and hypocrisy. and the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace."
James 3:17,18

I am not usually one that goes around quoting scripture, but this struck me. Now, I have a father that is over 80, and he has an interesting view of certain things. He knows nothing of my T* nature, and has shown both great kindness, and great hatred too. One day he tells me that Lesbians are okay and welcome in their church, but Gay Men are not. I think is an insane statement so I tell him that this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! He explains that the bible says that sex between two men is an unnatural act. But it doesn't say anything about women, so it is okay. This conversation runs through my mind when I'm reading the above and realize that IF we all could follow this so many other problems would just go away!

Imagine a world where everyone is treated and treats everyone else with peace, gentleness and mercy!

Imagine a world where you and everyone else was treated without partiality and without hypocrisy!

Imagine a world where spreading peace and receiving peace is the most important aspect of our lives.

Imagine the lack of war, hunger, and so many other horrible events that come from bigotry, racism, homophobia, hate crimes, and so many other acts that all of us see, hear or experience every day.

The thought of it is staggering.

Just Imagine!
