I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick
low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.
Today looked set to be completely wet all day and in a way that was good as it gave me the chance to get into town and buy more rice puddings amongst other things. On the way into town the sun came out, and that's nice but I was annoyed that I was wasting the dry hours. Silly really, I'm getting obsessed.
Needless to say it was raining again by the time I got home but it didn't seem to be all that bad so I went out anyway. There's many different kinds of rain inWales. There's the light drizzle that does eventually soak you but not for ages, there's the intermittent spatterings which hardly get you wet at all, there's the total downpour where you get soaked to the skin in seconds and today's rain was the kind that didn't seem too bad but was enoughto drench you within ten minutes although somehow you didn't really notice. By then it's too late to stop so you may as well carry on. It's got a few degrees colder today as well so I kept on until about just after 5.00pm when my hand was starting to freeze and then came in to light the fire.
Dinner tonight was the chewable variety so I stuck with rice pudding. I'm starting to believe that I could live on rice pudding, and I'm sure that's a bad sign.
