I started doing this diary in June, it's quite new. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick
low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.
Late, late, late, as usual. The sun appeared to be shining when I got up and I had visions of another day doing useful things in the field, particularly I want to wreck a very terrible shack in the corner of the field where the horses are because it's falling apart and could well be dangerous for them. It seems to be made out of bits of corrugated and some old doors, probably wouldn't take much time to wreck it. Was just boiling water for coffee when Liv phoned and said she was coming round with breakfast. I was barely into my second fag when she arrived with a whole box of breakfast which I watched her eat. I did eat a croissant, just to be sociable, I'm not heavily into breakfast. Liv shared the last house I lived in and she also brought round some pictures she had taken there. Notably, two of Princess, my horse, and a couple of me with the chainsaw which are on the Pictures of me page.
By the time she was leaving the sun had gone and it was raining again, I put the horses into the orchard anyway, in the hope that it would clear up later and because it keeps them happy. While I was waiting hopefully I managed to get on the phone (I hate the phone btw...avoid it like the plague) and arranged my flight tickets, so it seems like I'm off to the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival. And a huge, huge thank you to Pino for helping me out with festival tickets. Also phoned the County Council and sorted out my Council Tax bill, ok, this doesn't sound like a big deal but it's the kind of thing I can easily put off for months so I was pleased with myself.
It carried on raining, so the shack remains standing. Instead I busied myself with some rather dull forms for the WIT camp and getting the new pictures scanned and uploaded. No cooking, no washup tonight... I like the rota again, it's a nice rota. Hansi cooked the dinner tonight, it was her first night on the rota and we were all expecting pizza or spaggetti hoops, but we had a proper dinner with salad and boiled potatoes and eggs. It was still raining after dinner, tho not so heavily so we put the horses back in the field and I went back to my trusty computer. Must get a real life....damn if anyone knows where they can be found let me know
