Bluehook's Diary

I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

Well, I don't know what happened to Sunday as a day of rest, maybe I rest too much during the remainder of the week to be entitled to a rest on Sunday. The plumbing problem turned out to be more serious than I thought at first and water dripped through the bathroom ceiling and into the bath all night. The bathroom is right beside my bedroom and even with the door closed and a towel in the bath and earplus I could still hear the dripping and that's my idea of torture but there wasn't anything I could do about it because I couldn't get up there on my own and everyone else was in bed by the time I realised what was going on.
After the fire was lit and I could hear that other people were up and about I found a plumber in the Yellow Pages and phoned him. His advice was to empty some of the water out and tie up the ballcock in the tank and see if that stopped the dripping. Lorna and Lauren helped me and the dripping did stop. Tomorrow is a new month so I was preparing my updated diary index and trying to make a new graphic to replace the revolving rainbow which is really not that great when Lisa arrived with Jake for a visit. They stayed a couple of hours or so and Lauren had come in in the meantime to ask me to do her a party invitation because it's her 10th birthday next weekend and she's having a party so when Lisa and Jake had left we got on the computer and scanned in a drawing she had made of a clown and a dolphin and coloured them in with rainbows and added the writing.
In the meantime Gabby and Jim and four of their kids had arrived so the house was starting to be fairly chaotic by then. There was 11 of us for dinner so the teenagers were sent upstairs to eat. Then we all just did the usual sitting around after dinner thing, they all left after a while and we sat some more. There was another full moon tonight and I went out a walk with Lorna and the dogs but we couldn't actually see the moon because there was too much cloud and mist but it was very bright out there, no need for a torch.
