I started doing this diary in June, it's quite new. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

The rain came back, like I knew it would. I'm in total despair about the hay.... I have 3 1/2 days left to get it done and that now seems somewhat unfeasible.

Got a few things sorted in town today, I put some film in for processing so there may be new photos tomorrow. Also ordered travellers cheques. Back home I spent a lot more time on the phone than I really like to do, but several things needed to be done and it was Monday so.......

Dogs are still stuck to me like glue, as long as I am around they are never more than a few feet away, I lay down under the stairs earlier and they both came and lay down right beside me... well, against me really and then the cat came and lay on top of me. But it's not all cuteness and cuddles, I had to deal with a huge mess of puppy poo in my sitting room first thing in the morning which was quite the most nauseating thing and did not endear me to him for the rest of the day. Part of my dog minding agreement was that I would also lift the poo from around the garden but if this morning was anything to go on I will never manage to do it without throwing up and, frankly, I'm more inclined to leave it. There's also been lots of dog/ cat and cat/cat agro going on as they all vie to be in my space at the same time. I'm just glad today that the horses don't live in the house.
