I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick
low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.
Well things got off to a fairly calm start after a proper Sunday lie-in. The weather was looking a bit dodgy and I just managed to get myself a bit of kindling together and saw up an old fence post before the sleet and then a bit of snow arrived. The horses were absolutely wild, the wildest I've ever seen them, they charged down the field at me and didn't even stop to eat straight away but both went into a crazy bucking and charging about thing, galloping through the piles of hay and kicking it around before finally stopping to snort a lot then eat. |
I had a bath and was settled in front of the fire reading yesterday's Guardian when the whole bunch of crazies from the Gower arrived bringing Lauren back. It was Lauren's birthday so then the afternoon took on a different note, the house was full of noise again, but in an entertaining way. |
In the evening we piled into cars and down to the Lock and Key for dinner. We ordered food and then a rather protracted and rowdy game of pool was played while we waited for the dinner to arrive. When it did arrive it was so good it provoked even more rowdiness and it was a long time in the eating and savoring of it all. When we finally finished and had coffee and got out of there we were then off to the Cwmann Tavern to see Heather play Fiddle with Scrape the Grape and arrived just before their second set. The band was fairly kicking and half the lesbian population of Lampeter was there on the front table and all over the floor and it was 11.00 pm by the time we got home. |
