The whole time the TV crew filmed and interviewed us, and we posed for lots of photos.

After lunch most of us needed to go to the Ladies so I walked to the portable loos with Angela

where we chatted to the other ladies in the long queue - for once I envied the men because their queue was much shorter!

By then the Queen and Royal Family had arrived (apparently unaware that 16 queens were already there!) it was time for the racing so we joined the huge crowds in walking from the picnic area through the tunnel under the course to the main grandstand. By then there was a slight drizzle so I took my umbrella.
