The Annapurna Circuit

Namaste and Eternal Memories

I enjoy traveling to exotic places and it had been my dream for many years to go trekking in the Himalayas in Nepal, and in October of 1996-----        I lived my dream.

We explored Kathmandu and the surrounding countryside, did a 21 day trek around the Annapurna Circuit with a guide Ram Hari Kandel and his cousin Hari, as porter. We then visited the Royal Chitwan National Park in the Terai.

After leaving Nepal we visited Bangkok, took a train to Chaing Mai, where we did a three day, two night trek among the hill tribes in Northern Thailand. We also visited the Golden Triangle, where Laos, Myanmar and Thailand meet.

I still hear from Ram and I would be happy to answer any questions about my experiences with anyone who may be looking for information about, or planning to go trekking, in that part of the world.
