Dear Jenny, Back in 1997 you sent me some information on this site and invited me to view it. I then misplaced the info, but have finally retrieved it and think the site is wonderful, keep up the excellent work. Further to my comment on the market, I visited it recently after a lengthy time away as I felt it was no longer the friendly, bargain packed venue it had once been. I regret to say, it has deteriorated further. In fact I have friends who had not been to the market in 18 months ring me the other day and commented on how disappointing a day it was for them. I for one would love to see a return to the vibrant hive of activity it once was. With variety in the stalls incl. home made crafts and a turn away from the number of trashy reject style stalls I discovered on my last visit. Secondly, I live in Croydon North, and the rural area you mention on your site is a thing of the past. I would love to see a stop put on the number of builders allowed to bulldose homes and replace them with units. I understand the shire relishes the rates income from these sites, but for those of us who have watched the number of units being constructed, we can only wonder at the look of our beautiful city in the next 5 years. I have lived here for 15 years,(9 years in Croydon-6 yrs at Croydon Nth.) but am sadly considering moving further out to find the more open spaces, trees, and quiet streets I once found in Croydon. The more estates built & more units are making this area very noisy and crowded. Sharron. Sharron.

Great site - extensive, simple and quick to use. I take guided walks on Mt Dandenong, just a stone's throw from Croydon, and a slice of paradise from the bustle of urban life ~ we yarn about the history, natural features as we go, and simply have fun.... ...meals/picnic packages available for groups of 4 or more.....1 hour & half day strolls, or full day hikes for the more adventurous! Regular Saturday Strolls for just $20 including coffee.
