- Being handed a project that is due at the end of the week, when they know the minimum turnaround is two weeks...
- ...and then getting bitched at when it isn't done when they want it!
- Being handed a scrap of paper with the partial name of a book title or an ISBN number on it and being asked "Can you find this file for me?" (Not without a proper request form and the correct file
name, I can't!)
- Being expected to not work any overtime and still get all the work that I am assigned finished!
- Having to take part in meetings that don't apply to me in any way, shape, or form.
- Having to deal with the company owner lurking around my work area. Can we say "Increased Stress Level?"!!!
- Getting my job duties changed without being asked first, or feling like I could say "no"
- Being expected to learn all the new duties in the space of one week when the person training me doesn't fully know how to do half the stuff!
From my older jobs:
- People who don't tip delivery drivers...
- ...and wait for their change with a look on their face like I'm wasting THEIR time!
- Bosses that have the "You should do this because I say so" attitude.
- Co-workers who stand around when there are things they could be doing.
- Other delivery drivers who swipe the orders that should've been yours.
- Co-workers that are such huge brown-nosers that nothing they do could get them a reprimand.
School Gripes
- Instructors who ...
- ... act like the only class you are taking this semester is THEIRS...
- ... and assign homework accordingly!
- ... never give you a straight answer in an attempt to make you think.
- ... don't give you enough time to finish in-class assignments.
- ... assign projects to be done during Spring Break.
